Oklahoma Tower is a prominent skyscraper in downtown Oklahoma City's central business district. It is 410 feet tall and has 31 floors. [2] It was built in 1982 and is the fifth tallest building in Oklahoma City and 10th tallest in Oklahoma. [3]

History

The Oklahoma Tower was built in 1982 with a total commercial space of 610,375 square feet. The tower was purchased in 2005 for $30 million by owners Roy T. Oliver and Mark Beffort. In 2011 it was offered for sale with an asking price of $62.5 million. [4]

Current amenities in the building include 24 hour availability, conferencing facility, onsite retail stores, banking, Skywalk connection to parking and several restaurants.

Architecture

Architecture for the Oklahoma Tower was done by Morris-Aubry. [5] The Morris-Aubry firm was popular during the 1980s oil boom, but the firm was later known as Morris Architects. [6] After March 1, 2017 it became Huitt-Zollars. [7]

BOK Tower is a skyscraper in Downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. At 203 m (667 ft) in height, the 52-story tower was the tallest building in Oklahoma until surpassed by Devon Tower in 2011. It was built in 1976 and designed by Minoru Yamasaki & Associates, the same architect who designed the World Trade Center's Twin Towers in New York City. This structure is based closely on Tower 1; former CEO John Williams liked the design of the WTC so much he hired the same architect to build him a 1/2 scale model of Tower 1.

The Mid-Continent Tower is a 36-story skyscraper located at 401 South Boston Avenue in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. At 156 meters (513 ft) in height, it is the fourth-tallest building in Tulsa and fifth-tallest in Oklahoma. Faced with bright white terra cotta and crowned with a distinctive copper roof, it is one of the city's most recognizable buildings. The design is unique because the first 16-story structure was built in 1918. The top 20 stories comprise a separate structure, cantilevered over the first 66 years later. The architects of the addition matched the design of the original structure so carefully that the result is considered a single structure. It is included as a contributing structure in Tulsa's Oil Capital Historic District.

Plaza on Brickell is an urban development in Miami, Florida, United States. The complex consists of two skyscrapers and a retail center at the base, connecting the two towers. The towers completed construction in late 2007. The Plaza on Brickell Tower I, the taller of the two buildings, rises 186 metres (610 ft) and 56 floors. The Plaza on Brickell Tower II is 525 feet (160 m) tall, and has 43 floors. The two towers, although different in height, are twin towers in design. It was the headquarters of gas production and exploration company SandRidge Energy Corporation. In January 2010, SandRidge announced a $100 million renovation, designed by Rogers Marvel Architects, for the building and four other buildings to be called SandRidge Commons.
