Okyereko is a town near Winneba Junction in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region of Ghana. [1] [2] [3] [4] It is located along the Kasoa-Winneba road on the Cape Coast-Accra Highway. [5] [6]
Winneba is a town and the capital of Effutu Municipal District in Central Region of South Ghana. Winneba has a population of 55,331. Winneba, traditionally known as Simpa, is a historic fishing port in south Ghana, lying on the south coast, 140 kilometres (90 mi) east of Cape Coast. The current member of parliament is Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Gomoa District in 1988, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create the first Gomoa East District, with Gomoa Afransi as its capital town, on 29 February 2008 ; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Gomoa West District. The district assembly is located in the southeast part of Central Region and has Potsin as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Gomoa District in 1988, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create the first Gomoa East District, with Gomoa Afransi as its capital town, on 29 February 2008 ; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Gomoa West District. Its population is 44,834 people. The district assembly is located in the southeast part of Central Region and has Apam as its capital town.

The N1 or National Highway 1 is a national highway in Ghana that begins at the border with Ivory Coast at Elubo and runs through Sekondi-Takoradi, Cape Coast, Winneba, Accra and Tema to the border with Togo at Aflao. Ekumfi District is one of the twenty-two districts in Central Region, Ghana. It was formerly part of a then-larger Mfantsiman Municipality, which was also formed from the former Mfantsiman District Council. Ekumfi District was created when the eastern part of the Mfantsiman Municipality was split off on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been retained as the Mfantsiman Municipal District. The district is located in the south-central part of Central Region and has Essarkyir as its capital town.

Gomoa-Awutu-Effutu-Senya District is a former district council that was located in Central Region, Ghana. Originally created as an district council in 1975. However, on 1988, it was split off into two new district assemblies: Awutu/Effutu/Senya District and Gomoa District. The district council was located in the southeast part of Central Region and had Winneba as its capital town.
The Gomoa Onyaadze Solar Power Station is an operational grid-connected 20 megawatts (27,000 hp) solar power plant, in Ghana. The privately owned power station sells its power to the Power Distribution Services Ghana (PDSG), formerly Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), under a long-term power purchase agreement.
BXC Solar Power Station, also Onyandze Solar Power Station, is an operational 20 megawatt solar power plant in Ghana. The solar farm was developed, financed and is owned and operated by Beijing Xiaocheng Company, a Chinese independent power producer (IPP). The power station, commercially commissioned in April 2016, was the largest grid-ready IPP solar farm in Ghana, at that time. The energy generated at this power station is evacuated via a high voltage transmission line to a substation at Winneba Roundabout, where it enters the national grid.
Nyanyano is a community in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region of Ghana. It is located about 20 km south-west of Accra and about 6 km south of Kasoa.
Bewadze is a community on the Kasoa-Cape Coast highway in the Gomoa West District in the Central Region of Ghana. Vegetables are produced in the community.
