Last updated

Contents

In the run-up to the 2022 Danish general election, various organisations carried out opinion polling to gauge voting intentions in Denmark. Results of such polls are displayed in this list.

The date range for these opinion polls are from the 2019 Danish general election, held on 5 June, to the present day. The Constitution of Denmark specifies that the next election must be held no later than four years after the previous election. [1] On 5 October 2022, the government called a snap election to be held on 1 November. [2]

    <span class="mw-page-title-main">1992 United Kingdom general election</span>

The 1992 United Kingdom general election was held on Thursday 9 April 1992, to elect 651 members to the House of Commons. The governing Conservative Party led by the prime minister John Major won majority of 21, and would be the last time that the Conservatives would win an overall majority at a general election until 2015. It was also the last general election to be held on a day which did not coincide with any local elections until 2017. This election result took many by surprise, as opinion polling leading up to the election day had shown a narrow but consistent lead for the Labour Party under leader Neil Kinnock.

An election exit poll is a poll of voters taken immediately after they have exited the polling stations. A similar poll conducted before actual voters have voted is called an entrance poll. Pollsters – usually private companies working for newspapers or broadcasters – conduct exit polls to gain an early indication as to how an election has turned out, as in many elections the actual result may take many hours to count.

RealClearPolitics (RCP) is an American political news website and polling data aggregator. The site was formed in 2000 by former options trader John McIntyre and former advertising agency account executive Tom Bevan. The site features selected political news stories and op-eds from various news publications in addition to commentary from its own contributors. The site receives most traffic during election season for its aggregation of polling data. In 2008, the site's founders said their goal was to give readers "ideological diversity".

Election silence, blackout period,pre-election silence, electoral silence, or campaign silence is a ban on political campaigning or media coverage of a general election, before or during that election.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Election day</span> Day when elections are held

Election day or polling day is the day on which general elections are held. In many countries, general elections are always held on a Saturday or Sunday, to enable as many voters as possible to participate; while in other countries elections are always held on a weekday. However, some countries, or regions within a country, which hold elections on a weekday declare election day a public holiday. Countries which permit absentee ballots, early ballots or postal votes to be cast by mail before the election avoid the problem altogether by enabling voters to vote on a day that is more convenient to them.
