Jan Oscar Stabe Helvig (born 2 October 1995) is a Norwegian competitive rower, born in Oslo. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2021, in men's quadruple sculls. [1]
Sten Einar Stensen is a former speed skater. Together with Amund Sjøbrend, Kay Stenshjemmet, and Jan Egil Storholt, he was one of the legendary four S-es, contemporary Norwegian top skaters in the 1970s and early 1980s. Stensen excelled at the longer distances, especially the 5,000 m and 10,000 m, and set two world records. He was World Allround Champion in 1974 and European Allround Champion in 1975. He also won Olympic gold on the 5,000 m in Innsbruck in 1976. For his accomplishments, he received the Oscar Mathisen Award in 1974 and 1976.
Amund Martin Sjøbrend is a former ice speed skater from Norway.
Jan Einar Thorsen is a former Norwegian Alpine skier, active between 1987 and 1994. He won three World Cup victories, two in Super-G and one in Giant slalom. In addition he won the World Cup title for Super G in 1994. At the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, Thorsen won a bronze medal in the Super-G, and in addition came fifth in the Downhill. At the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, Thorsen just missed out on another Olympic medal - he came fourth in the giant slalom.
Jan Andreas Schmid is a Norwegian former nordic combined skier, of Swiss origin. He won two medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec with a silver in the 10 km individual normal hill event and a bronze in the 4 x 5 km team event. Competing two Winter Olympics for Switzerland, he earned his best finish of fourth in the 4 x 5 km team event at Turin in 2006. Schmid also competed in two World Championships for Switzerland. At the 2010 Winter Olympics for Norway, he finished fifth in the 4 x 5 km team event.
