Ostružnica Bridge is a six-lane girder bridge carrying the Belgrade bypass over the Sava at Ostružnica.
First half was constructed by Mostogradnja between 1990 and 1998. Total length of the bridge is 1,789.6 m (5,871 ft), with a 588 m (1,929 ft) long continuous steel structure crossing the river in five spans. The largest span is 198 m. The bridge was bombed by NATO during the Kosovo War in 1999 and fully reconstructed by 2004. [1] Additional three lanes on the parallel, twin bridge were built from 2016 to 2020.
After the 2004 reconstruction, some damages on the bridge still remained. Also, the bridge has been used in the two-way capacity, though it was planned to be used only in the one-way direction. After new lanes were added in 2020, thorough reconstruction of the old section of the bridge began in July 2022. [2]
Construction of the parallel, two-lane span began in January 2016. The original deadline was 26 months, or April 2018. It was then moved to March 2019. [1] In May 2019 the end of construction was set to October 2019, [3] and then to November. The delays were due to the change of the building technology after the construction began, possibility of unexploded mines in the river and an accident when the barge, turning in the zone of the construction site, hit the largest segment of the bridge construction which was to be lifted. The steel segments were constructed in the shipyard 10 km (6.2 mi) away, adapted into the floating objects and towed to the construction site. [4] Some of the lifted bridge elements weighed up to 550 tons. [5]
Two sides of the bridge were connected in December 2019. The works continued to slow down (strong winds, lack of qualified workforce, more expensive parts, winter, COVID-19 pandemic, additional problems after the final part was installed), so the deadline was moved to the end of the spring 2020. The second side of the bridge was officially opened on 14 June 2020. [6] The reconstruction of the old bridge is planned to start when the new one is finished, hence all the traffic will be rerouted to the new bridge as soon as it is completed. [7] [8]
Older part of the bridge was then closed. Reconstruction of the upper section of the older bridge was finished by January 2023, when it was reopened for traffic. [9]
The Belgrade Centre Railway Station, colloquially known as Prokop, is the new central railway station in Belgrade, Serbia. The station is located in the Belgrade municipality of Savski Venac. Although unfinished, it serves as de facto main railway station of the city, after replacing the old main station at the Belgrade Waterfront.

In wider sense, the term is used for the entire left bank of the Sava on the territory of the New Belgrade, which is partially being arranged as the pedestrian "Sava quay". Since early 2010s, the term was colloquially attached to the westernmost section of the bank, the riparian zone which is threatened by the illegal construction of weekend houses in the forbidden zone.
Ušće is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Novi Beograd. Ušće is located on the mouth of the Sava river into the Danube, thus the name. It occupies Novi Beograd's Blocks 10, 13, 14, 15 and 16 on the Sava's left and the Danube's right bank, covering a tip of land that overlooks the islands of Little War Island and Great War Island to the north and the old core of Belgrade, the fortress of Kalemegdan to the west. Ušće borders the neighborhoods of Staro Sajmište and Savograd on the south. As a compact grassy and forested area it stretches along the bank of the Danube into the Block 10, to the Zemun municipality and the Hotel Jugoslavija and the ENJUB shopping mall.

Branko's Bridge is the second-largest bridge of Belgrade, Serbia, connecting the city center with New Belgrade across the Sava river. Built in 1956 on the foundations of the 1934 King Alexander Bridge, which was destroyed in World War II, it reconnected Belgrade and Zemun as the only motorway bridge at the time. After several official and unofficial names, the present name stuck after the Brankova Street, which extends into the bridge from the direction of the old section of Belgrade.
Pančevo Bridge or colloquially Pančevac is a bridge over the Danube in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It was named after the northern city of Pančevo which is connected to Belgrade by the road continuing from the bridge. It was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Belgrade, and until December 2014, when the Pupin Bridge opened further upstream in the municipality of Zemun, the only one.

The Ada Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Sava river in Belgrade, Serbia. The bridge crosses the tip of Ada Ciganlija island, connecting the municipalities of Čukarica and New Belgrade. The bridge pylon is located on the tip of the island, which has been reinforced with large amounts of concrete and has been slightly enlarged to provide stronger foundations. Construction began in 2008, and the bridge opened on 1 January 2012. Adjoining roads were completed in 2013.
The Belgrade railway junction is a large-scale reconstruction of the rail network in Belgrade, Serbia. It was launched 1971 with works officially starting 1974 with the construction of the New Railway Bridge. The central part of the scheme is formed by the Belgrade Centre railway station, better known as Prokop after the neighborhood it is located in, which is served via three tunnels beneath the city center.
The Belgrade tram system is a 1000 mm gauge network that in 2021 had 12 routes running on 43.5 kilometres (27.0 mi) of track in the city of Belgrade, Serbia. The Old Sava Bridge is a 430-metre-long (1,410 ft) and 40-metre-wide (130 ft) bridge, crossing the river Sava in Belgrade, Serbia. It is the smallest road bridge in the Serbian capital and is used both for car and tram traffic. The main span between the two pillars of this tied arch bridge is over 157 m (515 ft) in length. Two bus lines and three tram lines of Belgrade public transport use the bridge.

The Obrenovac-Surčin Bridge on A2 motorway is the bridge crossing the rivers Kolubara and Sava in the suburban section of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is part of the A2 motorway, in Serbia more often called Corridor XI. Preparatory works on the bridge began on 12 February 2017 and it was ceremonially opened, with the adjoining Obrenovac-Surčin section of the motorway, on 17 December 2019.
Old Railroad Bridge is a bridge over the Sava river in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It was the first railway bridge in Belgrade and today is one of two across the Sava, and three in general. It is not operational since the summer of 2018.
King Alexander Bridge, in full The Bridge of King Alexander Karađorđević or The Bridge of the Knightly King Alexander, was a road and tram bridge over the Sava river, in Belgrade, capital of Yugoslavia. It was the first permanent road bridge across the Sava in Belgrade after almost 250 years and the Long Bridge from 1688. Finished in 1934, it was damaged and out of use since 1941, and fully demolished in 1944, during World War II. Its pylons were later used for the modern Branko's Bridge, built in 1956. The bridge was revered while existed being described as "gorgeous" and "one of the most important object ever built in Belgrade".
