Our Extended Play is the fifth extended play by Filipino-English singer-songwriter Beabadoobee. The EP was released on 24 June 2021 by independent record label Dirty Hit, and was preceded by the single "Last Day On Earth". The EP was a collaborative effort between Beabadoobee, Matty Healy, and George Daniel, both members of The 1975.
Our Extended Play was met with positive reviews upon release. On Metacritic , which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from music critics, Our Extended Play received an average score of 81 based on five reviews, indicating "universal acclaim". [1]
Thomas Smith of NME wrote that the "tracks offer sharper, more focused songwriting and production that bridges the gap between her grungey earlier work and a potentially pop-orientated future." He noted that the EP was "a project that's rewarding for both listeners and, by the sounds of it, the artists involved." [2]
Pete Tosiello of Pitchfork described 'Cologne' as "coy and syrupy" and said that 'He Gets Me So High' had a "buoyant arrangement." [3]

The 1975 are an English pop rock band formed in Wilmslow, Cheshire in 2002. The band consists of Matty Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald (bass), and George Daniel. The band's name was inspired by a page of scribblings found in Healy's copy of On the Road by Jack Kerouac that was dated "1 June, The 1975".

Her debut studio album, Fake It Flowers, was released in October 2020 and received critical acclaim. Her second studio album, Beatopia, was released on July 15, 2022.

Fake It Flowers is the debut studio album by Filipino-English singer and songwriter Beabadoobee. It was released under English independent label Dirty Hit on 16 October 2020. Continuing the departure from her previous lo-fi bedroom pop sound initiated on Space Cadet, Fake It Flowers is a more guitar-driven album which recalls "'90s slacker rock" and alternative rock. Beabadoobee announced the release of the album in mid-July 2020 and supported it with the singles "Care", "Sorry", "Worth It", "How Was Your Day?" and "Together". She embarked on a headlining tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland to support the album in 2021.
King's Disease is the twelfth studio album by American rapper Nas. It was released on August 21, 2020, through Mass Appeal Records and marketed by Universal Music Group. It succeeds his eleventh album, Nasir, released two years prior. The album features guest appearances from Charlie Wilson, Hit-Boy, Big Sean, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Anderson .Paak, Brucie B, Nas's supergroup the Firm, Fivio Foreign, and ASAP Ferg.
Space Cadet is the fourth extended play (EP) by Filipino-born English singer-songwriter Beabadoobee. The EP was released on 14 October 2019 by independent record label Dirty Hit, and was supported by the singles "She Plays Bass" and "I Wish I Was Stephen Malkmus". All five tracks were executively produced by English musicians Pete Robertson and Joseph Rodgers. The EP was also written entirely by Beabadoobee and features additional guitar from Matthew Healy on the title track.

Blane Muise, better known by her stage name Shygirl, is an English singer, DJ, rapper, songwriter and co-head/founder of record label and collective Nuxxe. Shygirl's music incorporates elements of dance music, industrial hip-hop, experimental pop, grime and deconstructed club. She has also been associated with the hyperpop music scene. Shygirl rose to prominence after working with close collaborator and friend Sega Bodega, as well as other well-known experimental producers Arca and Sophie, and gaining attention from the likes of Rihanna, who has used various Nuxxe tracks for her Fenty Beauty commercials and fashion shows. Shygirl has released various singles since 2016, and two EPs titled Cruel Practice and Alias. Her debut studio album Nymph was released on 30 September 2022 to widespread acclaim from music critics.
The Plugs I Met 2 is a collaborative extended play by American rapper Benny the Butcher and producer Harry Fraud. It was released on March 19, 2021 through Black Soprano Family/SRFSCHL as a sequel to Benny's 2019 EP The Plugs I Met. Produced entirely by Fraud, it features guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Chinx, Fat Joe, French Montana, Jim Jones, Rick Hyde and Teyonahhh. The album debuted at number 33 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart.
Be Right Back is the third extended play by British singer Jorja Smith. The record was released on 14 May 2021 by FAMM. Self described as a "waiting room" in preparation for her sophomore album, Be Right Back features writing and production from long time collaborators Joel Compass and Ed Thomas, amongst others, as well as guest vocals from British-Nigerian rapper Shaybo. Written and recorded over a two-year period, Be Right Back sonically adopts experimental song structures and lyrically revolves around the complexity of ideal womanhood, relationships and self-awareness.
Loveworm is the third extended play by Filipino-English singer-songwriter Beabadoobee. The EP, recorded and produced by Pete Robertson and Joseph Rodgers, was released on 26 April 2019 through independent record label Dirty Hit. It marks a departure from the folk-influenced, lo-fi sound of her previous two EPs, Lice (2018) and Patched Up (2018), incorporating a wider variety of instrumentation and exploring a range of genres. The EP was not preceded by any singles, but was released alongside a one night headliner at Oslo in East London.
Magic is the fourteenth studio album by American rapper Nas. It was released on December 24, 2021, through Mass Appeal Records. It serves as the third consecutive Nas album that is produced by Hit-Boy, following King's Disease and King's Disease II. The album features guest appearances from ASAP Rocky and DJ Premier.
Beatopia is the second studio album by Filipino-English singer and songwriter Beabadoobee. It was released on English independent label Dirty Hit on 15 July 2022. It features collaborations with singer PinkPantheress, Matty Healy and George Daniel of the 1975, Cavetown, and Jack Steadman of Bombay Bicycle Club.
Nymph is the debut studio album by British rapper and singer Shygirl. It was released on 30 September 2022 on vinyl, CD, cassette and digital download, through Because Music. The album was announced alongside the release of its lead single "Firefly" on 10 May 2022. The second single "Come for Me" was released on 7 June 2022. The album was shortlisted for the 2023 Mercury Prize.
George Bedford Daniel is a Belgian-British drummer, record producer, and electronic musician. He came to prominence as a founding member, principal producer, and drummer of pop band the 1975. His songwriting and producing partnership with the 1975's Matty Healy made him the co-recipient of four Brit Awards, and two Ivor Novello Awards including Songwriter of the Year. He has also been co-nominated twice for the Mercury Prize, and once for the Grammy Awards. Daniel has also co-produced the Japanese House's Good at Falling and In the End It Always Does, which charted at numbers 64 and 29 on the UK Albums Chart respectively, and Charli XCX's songs "In the City" and "Apple", which charted at No. 41 and 14 on the UK singles chart.
