Career

P. D. Sathish Chandra worked for The Hindu before working on the founding team of Red FM in Bangalore. He worked for Red RM for eighteen months and helped found the Gulbarga, Mangalore and Mysore stations. [4] He worked as the programming head for Radio Mirchi 98.3 Bangalore. [5] He gained recognition for his role as Pandu in Panduranga Vittala on Zee Kannada, which ran for five years with 1,336 episodes. [6] [7] He hosted the spoof TV shot Vaaranna on Public TV. [6] He works as a mentor for the Kala Soudha theatre space in Bangalore. [7] He founded the performing arts organization Pradarshana Kala Samsthe. [8] His first major film role was the villain in the Malayalam film Kutty Srank (2010). [4] During the COVID-19 pandemic, he made a video book along with fifty-one other actors. [9] He is a frequent actor in M. G. Srinivas's films and played a steampunk-esque character Time in Old Monk (2022). [10]

The film won three awards at the 1975–76 Karnataka State Film Awards, including the award for Best Actress (Aarathi).

Sharapanjara is a 1971 Indian Kannada language film directed by Puttanna Kanagal, based on a novel by Triveni of the same name, and starring Kalpana and Gangadhar in lead roles. This film is considered one of the best Kannada movies ever made. Triveni's novel was richly visual and Puttanna not only stayed faithful to the novel on screen but also retained most of the novel's dialogues and credited Triveni for them.

Gangadhar (1936–2003) was an Indian actor known for his work in Kannada cinema. A character actor who transitioned from stage to films in the mid-1960s, he had a brief period of success when his performances in social-dramas such as Gejje Pooje (1969), Sharapanjara (1971) and Seetha (1970) were noted. In addition to the former two, he starred in Katha Sangama (1975) and Ranganayaki (1981), all of which were directed by Puttanna Kanagal. Other films he starred in include Nanna Thamma (1970), Aliya Geleya (1971) and Bhale Adrushtavo Adrushta (1972).

Lifeu Ishtene is a 2011 Indian Kannada-language black comedy film written and directed by Pawan Kumar. It stars Diganth, Sindhu Lokanath and Samyukta Hornad in the lead roles. Sathish Ninasam, Achyuth Kumar and Veena Sundar feature in supporting roles. The plot revolves around the adult life of a carefree youngster, who falls in love easily with multiple women, and observes the consequences, "realizing the meaning of life" and that it comes a "full circle". The title of the film was taken from a track of the 2010 Kannada film Pancharangi.

...Re is a 2016 Indian Kannada comedy film written and directed by Sunil Kumar Desai. The film has an ensemble cast consisting of veteran actors: Ramesh Aravind, Anant Nag, Master Hirannaiah, Loknath, Shivaram, Tennis Krishna, Ramesh Bhat, Vaijanath Biradar, Sharath Lohithaswa, Suman, G. Old Monk is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language romantic comedy film written and directed by M. G. Srinivas. The film features MG Srinivas, Aditi Prabhudeva in lead role. The film's title was inspired from the popular alcohol beverage brand, but it also means "Hale Sanyasi" in Kannada. Veteran actor Rajesh, made a special cameo appearance in the film. The film was released on February 25, 2022 simultaneously in the Kannada and Telugu languages.
