Paaru is an Indian Kannada language drama series airing on Zee Kannada from 3 December 2018. [1] The show is an official remake of Zee Telugu's TV series Muddha Mandaram . [2] It stars Sharath Padmanabhan, Vinaya Prasad and Mokshitha Pai in lead roles. [3]
The story revolves around Akhilandeshwari, an arrogant and rich woman. Things change when Paaru, a poor village girl, comes to live at her house.

Souryam (transl. Bravery) is a 2008 Indian Telugu-language action film produced by V. Anand Prasad on Bhavya Creations banner and directed by cinematographer Siva, who made his directorial debut. It stars Gopichand, Anushka Shetty, Poonam Kaur and Manoj K. Jayan along with Ajay, Ali, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Sudha, Tanikella Bharani and M. S. Narayana in the pivotal roles, the music was composed by Mani Sharma. The film was released theatrically on 25 September 2008. It was remade in Kannada-language as Shourya, into Dhallywood as Mone Boro Koshto and in Tamil-language by Prabhu Deva as Vedi. Vedi (transl. Cracker) is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Prabhu Deva. The film stars Vishal, Sameera Reddy and Poonam Kaur, while Vivek, Sayaji Shinde, and Urvashi play supporting roles. A remake of super hit Telugu film Souryam, the film was released on 30 September 2011 across 250 screens in Tamil Nadu, 62 screens in Kerala and 28 screens in Karnataka.
Mirchi (transl. Chilli) is a 2013 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by debutante Koratala Siva, and produced by UV Creations. The film stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Richa Gangopadhyay with Sathyaraj, Nadhiya Moidu, Sampath Raj, Adithya Menon, Subbaraju and Brahmanandam featuring in supporting roles. The film was tentatively titled Vaaradhi, but was later renamed as Mirchi. The film opened to positive reviews from critics and was one of the highest grossing Telugu films of the year 2013.
Thaikulame Thaikulame is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by N. Murugesh while the story was written by K. Bhagyaraj. The film stars Pandiarajan, Urvashi and Vinaya Prasad while Vadivelu, R. Sundarrajan appear in supporting roles. It was released on 22 September 1995, and did well at the box office. The film was remade in Telugu as Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, in Hindi as Gharwali Baharwali and in Kannada as Naanu Nanna Hendthiru. Master Mahendran won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Child Artist.
Namo Bhootatma is a 2014 Kannada horror comedy film directed by Murali in his debut. The film was a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Yaamirukka Bayamey, which itself was based on the Korean movie The Quiet Family. It stars Komal Kumar, Iswarya Menon, Anaswara Kumar, Gayathri Iyer, and Harish Raj in the lead roles. Telugu comedian Ali made his second Kannada movie with this film. It's also dubbed in Hindi with the same name. A sequel Namo Bhoothathma 2 released in 2023.
