Paciphacops is a genus of trilobites within order Phacopida, suborder Phacopina. [1] [2] This genus is found primarily in the United States and Australia and is easily mistaken for the genera Phacops and Kainops , which are also popular among collectors. [3] One major difference between Paciphacops and Phacops is that the central raised area (or glabella) of the headshield (or cephalon) extends beyond the headshield's anterior margin. A major difference between Paciphacops and Kainops is the greater number of eye facets in Kainops. The skin (or sclera) of the visual surface in Paciphacops is thickened and bulged compared to the edge of each lens.

Trilobites are extinct marine arthropods that form the class Trilobita. Trilobites form one of the earliest known groups of arthropods. The first appearance of trilobites in the fossil record defines the base of the Atdabanian stage of the Early Cambrian period and they flourished throughout the lower Paleozoic before slipping into a long decline, when, during the Devonian, all trilobite orders except the Proetida died out. The last trilobites disappeared in the mass extinction at the end of the Permian about 251.9 million years ago. Trilobites were among the most successful of all early animals, existing in oceans for almost 270 million years, with over 22,000 species having been described.

Phacops is a genus of trilobites in the order Phacopida, family Phacopidae, that lived in Europe, northwestern Africa, North and South America and China from the Late Ordovician until the very end of the Devonian, with a broader time range described from the Late Ordovician. It was a rounded animal, with a globose head and large eyes, and probably fed on detritus. Phacops is often found rolled up ("volvation"), a biological defense mechanism that is widespread among smaller trilobites but further perfected in this genus.
Dalmanites is a genus of trilobite in the order Phacopida. They lived from the Late Ordovician to Middle Devonian.
Balcoracania dailyi is a small trilobite of the family Emuellidae. Its fossils have been found in south Australia and Antarctica.
In biology, a species complex is a group of closely related organisms that are so similar in appearance and other features that the boundaries between them are often unclear. Redlichia is a genus of redlichiid trilobite in the family Redlichiidae, with large to very large species. Fossils of various species are found in Lower Cambrian (Toyonian)-aged marine strata from China, Korea, Pakistan, the Himalayas, Iran, Spain, southern Siberia, and Antarctica, and from Middle Cambrian (Ordian)-aged marine strata of Australia.
Calymene Brongniart, 1822, is a genus of trilobites in the order Phacopida, suborder Calymenina, that are found throughout North America, North Africa, and Europe in primarily Silurian outcrops. Calymene is closely related to Flexicalymene, and both genera are frequently found enrolled. Calymene trilobites are small, typically 2 cm in length. The cephalon is the widest part of the animal and the thorax usually has 13 segments.
Chotecops is a genus of trilobites from the order Phacopida, suborder Phacopina, family Phacopidae. It was initially erected as a subgenus of Phacops but some later authors thought it distinctive enough to raise its status. Species assigned to this genus occur between the Emsian and the Famennian. Chotecops is the most abundant trilobite in the Hunsrück Slate and due to the excellent preservation, often soft tissue such as antennae and legs have been preserved as a thin sheet of pyrite.
Eophacops is a genus of trilobites from the order Phacopida, family Phacopidae. These trilobites lived during the Middle Silurian in what now are North America and North-West Europe. Species assigned to this genus can be distinguished from Phacops by their small size (2–3 cm). Eophacops has very large eyes compared to the rest of its body.
Misszhouia is a genus of small to average sized marine trilobite-like arthropods within the Naraoiidae family, that lived during the early Cambrian period. The species are M. longicaudata, from the Maotianshan Shales, described in 1985, and M. canadensis, from the Burgess Shale and described in 2018, although later species may belongs to genus Naraoia instead.

Batocara is a genus of phacopid trilobites in the family Encrinuridae. The type species, B. bowningi, was described originally as Encrinurus bowningi by Foerste in 1888. In 1980, D.L. Strusz erected Batocara for 'Encrinurus' bowningi. Batocara also contains the species B. borenorense and B. fritillum.
