He has denounced the treatment of Palestinians by Israeli settlers and the state of Israel, and called for more aid to be sent to Palestinians. He has also been noted for identifying women's un-Islamic behavior as in part responsible for the winter 2006 drought in Saudi Arabia. In 2016, he delivered the very important Hajj sermon to a multitude of pilgrims gathered at Arafat after prayers.

Banbury Mosque is a mosque located in Banbury, Oxfordshire, England. In September 2008, the mosque was given permission to expand its size to allow women to pray separately, however the expansion received some criticism from local residents. In July 2009, Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the Imam of the Masjid al-Haram, the holiest mosque of Islam which is located in Mecca, gave a speech in Banbury. The Ash-Shifa School girls' Islamic school is located within the grounds of Banbury Mosque. The mosque was newly rebuilt in 2012 by leading small-medium construction company Civic Construction Limited directed by Mr Wajid Ali.

The General Presidency of Haramain, is a Saudi government agency responsible for the development and administration of the Islamic holy sites of the Masjid al-Haram and the Masjid an-Nabawi, facilitated by its religious, technical and administrative departments. The agency was founded on 8 May 2012 by a royal decree from King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Headquartered in the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, the agency is overseen by the President who is appointed by royal order.
Mushāhid Aḥmad Bāyampūrī was a late-twentieth century Bengali Islamic scholar, teacher, writer, orator and politician. Bayampuri served as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, the professor of Hadith studies at Sylhet Government Alia Madrasah, the principal of Darul Uloom Kanaighat and the president of the Eastern Sylhet Independent Religious Arabic Madrasah Education Board. His numerous works, which covered a range of disciplines in Islamic literature such as Sufism, Qur'anic exegesis and the political aspects of Islam, were written in the Arabic, Bengali and Urdu languages. Some of his books are part of syllabic studies under the Independent Religious Board of Education.
ʿAbd al-Awwal Jaunpūrī was an Indian Muslim scholar, religious preacher, educationist, poet and author. Described by Muhammad Mojlum Khan as one of the "most gifted and outstanding" of Karamat Ali Jaunpuri's many children, he displayed an important role leading his father's founded Taiyuni reformist movement in Bengal.
Syed Ahmad Dehlavi was an Indian Muslim academician and hadith scholar who served as the second principal and Sheikh al-Hadith of Darul Uloom Deoband between 1884 and 1890. He specialised in Islamic astronomy and mathematics. His students included Abdul Hayy Hasani and Murtaza Hasan Chandpuri.

Besides Ahl-i-Hadith and sectarian groups, Saudis are using other, more benign transnational conduits, like TV channels, to exert their influence. In Pakistan, Paigham TV (broadcast in Urdu and Pashto) is a case in point. It was inaugurated in 2011 by Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz as-Sudais, the imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
