The Pakistan Mazdoor Kissan Party (PMKP) was a political party in Pakistan founded in 1974 by Afzal Khamosh. On 20 December 2015, it merged with the Communist Mazdoor Kissan Party, forming the current Mazdoor Kisan Party. [1]

Taimur Rahman is a Pakistani college professor, political activist and musician who is the Secretary-General of the Mazdoor Kisan Party (MKP), formerly Communist Mazdoor Kissan Party (CMKP). Pakistan International Airlines Flight 326 was a domestic scheduled passenger flight that was hijacked by al-Zulfikar terrorists with support of Afghanistan's KhAD, from 2 March to 14 March 1981. It was a routine flight scheduled from Karachi to Peshawar, but the hijackers diverted it to Kabul, Afghanistan, and then Damascus, where the hostage situation ended with the release of prisoners by the Pakistani government demanded by the hijackers.

The influences of socialism and socialist movements in Pakistan have taken many different forms as a counterpart to political conservatism, from the groups like The Struggle, Lal Salam which is the Pakistani section of the International Marxist Tendency, to the Stalinist group like Communist Party through to the reformist electoral project enshrined in the birth of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP).

Tufail Abbas was a Pakistani trade unionist and communist politician. He was a veteran labour leader in the airline industry, heading the Airways Employees Union. In later years he served as chairman of the Pakistan Mazdoor Mahaz and chief editor of the Urdu monthly Awami Manshoor.
