Pakistan participated in the 3rd South Asian Games held in Calcutta, India in November 1987. The country participated in all of the 10 sports: athletics, basketball, boxing, football, kabbadi, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling. Its medal tally of 66 placed it second amongst the seven nations. [1] Weightlifting was its most successful event, where it won 29 medals (6 gold, 23 silver). [1]

The 1987 South Asian Games, officially the 3rd South Asian Federation Games were a multi-sport event, held in Kolkata, India from 20 November to 27 November 1987. It was the largest sporting event ever to be held in Kolkata, and West Bengal as a whole. This was also the first time when India hosted these Games.

1966 Asian Games fifth edition of the Asian Games

The 1966 Asian Games, also known as the V Asiad, was a multi-sport event which was held from December 9 to 20, 1966, in Bangkok, Thailand. A total of 142 events in 14 sports were contested by athletes in the game. Taiwan and Israel returned to the Asian Games, reversing the decision taken by Indonesia in the previous Asiad to debar the two countries. A total number of 2,500 athletes and officials, coming from 18 countries, were involved in this Asiad, where women's volleyball made its debut.

1970 Asian Games sixth edition of the Asian Games

The 6th Asian Games were held from 9 to 20 December 1970 in Bangkok, Thailand. Seoul, South Korea, had been selected to host the 6th Games but it declined due to both financial reasons and security threats from neighboring North Korea.. The previous host, Thailand, stepped in to save the Asiad. 2,400 athletes from 18 countries competed in this Asiad, where yachting made its debut.

The 1989 South Asian Games(or 4th SAF Games) were held in Islamabad, Pakistan from 20 October to 27 October 1989.

Russia at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics

Russia participated at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore. The Russian team consisted of 96 athletes competing in 20 sports: aquatics (swimming), archery, athletics, basketball, boxing, canoeing, fencing, gymnastics, handball, judo, modern pentathlon, rowing, sailing, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling. Viktoria Komova won most medals, with 3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal.

2004 Pekan Olahraga Nasional

2004 Pekan Olahraga Nasional or the Pekan Olahraga Nasional XVI were a major multi-sport event in Indonesia which took place in South Sumatra, from September 2 to September 14, 2004. A total of 607 events in 41 sports were competed among more than 5,500 athletes from 30 provinces, with the newly created province of Riau Islands only as observer and did not send any athletes. The games also staged 8 paralympic sports.

Pakistan was the host nation for the 4th South Asian Games held in its capital, Islamabad between 20 and 27 October 1989. The country participated in all of the 10 sports: athletics, boxing, kabbadi, squash, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling. Its medal tally of 97 placed it second amongst the seven nations. Weightlifting was again its most successful event, where it won 28 medals with athletics a close second with 27 medals.

Pakistan participated in the 5th South Asian Games held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1991. These games saw women athletes participate for the first time in athletics, table tennis and tennis. Men participated in all the 10 sports: athletics, basketball, boxing, football, shooting, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, and weightlifting. Its medal tally of 85 placed it third amongst the seven nations. Weightlifting was its most successful event, where it won 30 medals.

Pakistan at the 2004 South Asian Games

Pakistan was the host nation for the second time when the 9th South Asian Games were held in its capital, Islamabad between 29 March and 7 April 2004. The country participated in all 15 sports. Its medal tally of 143 placed it second amongst the seven nations. Swimming was its most successful event, where it won 27 medals, though without any gold. Athletics were a close second with 25 medals and shooting third with 24 medals. It won the most golds in boxing with 9.

2010 African Youth Games

The 1st African Youth Games took place in Rabat, Morocco's capital city from 13 to 18 July 2010. The games are targeting young African athletes, both girls and boys of 15–17 years, and about 16 sports codes will be featured at the continental event. athletics, basketball, boxing, fencing, football, gymnastics, Judo, rowing, swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, swimming and gymnastics. The Games was organised by the ANOCA as a prelude to the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, the first olympic youth games to be held in Singapore in August. Tunisia finished leader in the medal table standings.

The 2018 Thailand National Games, officially known as the XLVI Thailand National Games and commonly known as Jiang Hai Games, is schedule an national multi-sport event of Thailand that will be held between 18 and 28 November 2018 in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
