Tambaram is a suburban city located south of Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, India, within the state's Chengalpattu district. Lying on the national highway connecting Chennai and Trichy, the Grand Southern Trunk Road, the suburb was upgraded as a corporation in 2021.
