Pan Changjiang (born July 1957) is a Chinese actor and more recently TV director, known for playing in skits and sitcoms on TV. In his early years, he appeared regularly in the CCTV New Year's Gala. [1]

Early life

Pan was born to an acting family in Dongning County, Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang, the son of Wang Jingping (Chinese:王晶平), and Pan Linsheng (Chinese:潘林生). [2] In 1979, he was accepted to the Pingju Troupe of Tieling County, where he majored in acting. [2]

Personal life

On 31 August 1981, Pan married civil servant Yang Yun (Chinese:杨云) in Dongning County, their daughter, Pan Yang (Chinese:潘阳), was born in 1985. [3]

Day and Night is a 2017 Chinese streaming television series directed by Wang Wei and written by Zhiwen. It stars Pan Yueming, Wang Longzheng, Liang Yuan, Lü Xiaolin, and Yin Shuyi. The series tells the story of Guan Hongfeng, the former captain of the Changfeng Criminal Investigation Detachment, who solves many cases to get his brother Guan Hongyu exonerated. Pan An-bang, was a Taiwanese pop and folk singer, television presenter and actor. He was famous for the song "Grandma's Penghu Bay" (外婆的澎湖灣), which is one of the classic Taiwanese campus folk songs in the late 1970s. He was also one of the first pop singers from Taiwan to perform in mainland China in the 1980s. After the successful nationwide television performance on CCTV New Year's Gala in 1989, he became well-known on both sides of the Strait. He died from kidney cancer in 2013.
