Panathinaikos Athlitikos Omilos, also known simply as Panathinaikós, is a major Greek multi-sport club based in the City of Athens. Panathinaikos is one of the most successful multi-sport clubs and one of the oldest clubs in Greece. The name "Panathinaikos" was inspired by the ancient work of Isocrates Panathenaicus, where the orator praise the Athenians for their democratic education and their military superiority, which use it for benefit of all Greeks.

Nea Smyrni Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nea Smyrni, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Panionios, which plays for the Gamma Ethniki. The all seated stadium holds 11,700 spectators and was built in 1939. Before full seating was installed in 1998 for the participation of Panionios in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup its capacity was close to 19,000. Votanikos is a neighborhood in Athens, Greece. The area is named after a nearby botanical garden situated to the southwest. The eastern part is residential; the western part is forested and industrialized. The subdivision has no squares but has a nearby school. Major streets bordering this subdivision include Patsi Street to the west, Athinon Avenue to the north, Konstantinopouleos Avenue and the rail to the south and Petrou Ralli Avenue to the south. The Peace and Friendship Stadium, commonly known by its acronym SEF, is a multi-purpose indoor arena that is located in Piraeus, on the coastal zone of Attica, Greece. The arena is mostly known for being the home to EuroLeague team Olympiacos, and is the central venue of the Faliro Coastal Zone Olympic Complex. It opened in 1985 and its design was inspired by Palasport di San Siro.
The 2003–04 season was the 80th season in the existence of AEK Athens F.C. and the 45th consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. They competed in the Alpha Ethniki, the Greek Cup and the UEFA Champions League. The season began on 17 August 2003 and finished on 22 May 2004.
The 1934–35 Panhellenic Championship was not held due to increased obligations of the Greece national team to fully prepare for the 5th Balkan Cup. Ten teams from the 3 founding associations of HFF participated in the Panhellenic Championship 1934–35, divided into 2 groups, Southern and Northern. They were represented by the same number of clubs as the previous championship and specifically by them, since the local championships were stopped to save time.
The 1941–42 Panhellenic Championship did not occur due the events of the WW2 and the Axis occupation of Greece. The Union of Greek Athletes was substantially re-established in 1942, with track and field athletes on the front line. Fundraising, food, healthcare and monitoring were their main activities. The needy, the suffering, but also the tuberculosis sufferers who left their last breath in the bloody beds of "Sotiria", saw a helping hand from the UoGA. Nevertheless, its role enlarged in the second half of 1942 when football joined in. The 1941–42 season was the one with the least sports activity during the years of The Occupation. Its known for sure that 2 friendly games were organized. One was between Olympiacos and Ethnikos Piraeus with a result of 4–0 in favor of the former, in which Nikos Godas also scored, who was the most emblematic figure of a football player in the vortex of the events of the time. The second would not be held, but it would be remembered for the protest that started during and afterwards the cancelation of the match.
The 2000–01 season was the 77th season in the existence of AEK Athens F.C. and the 42nd consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. They competed in the Alpha Ethniki, the Greek Cup and the UEFA Cup. The season began on 6 August 2000 and finished on 26 May 2001.
