Party Store is the fifth studio album by American garage rock band The Dirtbombs, released on February 1, 2011. The album was released on the In The Red Records label.
Party Store is the fifth full-length LP for The Dirtbombs and their second cover album. The tracks are all covers of classic Detroit techno songs by luminaries of the genre such as Juan Atkins and Derrick May. Comparing it to their 2001 covers album Ultraglide in Black , Mick Collins has said, "The major difference … is that 'Ultraglide' was planned and 'Party Store' was not. 'Ultraglide' was an attempt to show that those were valid rock songs, that it didn’t matter what the source was — anything can be made a rock song. We had set out to prove something. 'Party Store' was actually an experiment to see if those songs could be done in a different context. 'Ultraglide' was a statement, whereas 'Party Store' was a question. [2]

Ultravisitor is the seventh album by English electronic musician Squarepusher, released on 8 March 2004 by Warp Records. The album incorporates many of the various musical styles exhibited by Jenkinson on his previous albums, including drum and bass, acid techno, jazz fusion, and electronic noise. A few of the tracks feature layered, modulated, or filtered bass guitar. Several of the instrumental parts were recorded live and include applause, blurring the lines between live and studio performances.

It tells of four teenage boys in a Kiss tribute band who try to see their idols in concert in Detroit in 1978. The Dirtbombs are an American garage rock band based in Detroit, Michigan, notable for blending diverse influences such as punk rock and soul while featuring a dual bass guitar, dual drum and guitar lineup. The Dirtbombs were formed by Mick Collins as a side project and started recording songs by 1995.
Ben Blackwell is the creator and director of Cass Records, one of two drummers in the Detroit-based rock band the Dirtbombs, a music writer, and a vinyl record collector. He's a co-founder and minority owner at Third Man Records and the official archivist of the White Stripes.

The Prodigy are an English electronic dance music band from Braintree, Essex, formed in 1990 by keyboardist and songwriter Liam Howlett. The line-up of the band has included MC and vocalist Maxim, dancer and vocalist Keith Flint, dancer and live keyboardist Leeroy Thornhill, and dancer and vocalist Sharky (1990-1991). Along with the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy are credited as pioneers of the breakbeat-influenced genre big beat, which achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s. Howlett's rock-inspired drum rhythms infused with electronic rave music beats/breaks were combined with Maxim's omnipresent mystique, Thornhill's shuffle dancing style and Flint's modern punk appearance.
Boston Spaceships was a rock band featuring Robert Pollard and Chris Slusarenko of Guided By Voices, and John Moen of The Decemberists and Perhapst. The name of the band came from a nickname Pollard gave to the Boston cream donut from Krispy Kreme, which is Pollard's favorite donut.
