Kraus released "Reach" as the first single of Path on February 7, 2018. [1] [2] The album's second single, "Bum", was released eleven days later. [3] Path was released on March 9. [4] Kraus released a music video for "Bum" on June 6. [5]

Path was positively reviewed by Ian Cohen of Pitchfork, giving a 7.3/10 rating, [6] and Chicago Reader's Leor Galil. [7] Far Out Magazine's Carly Wu elected Path as the 18th best shoegaze album of all time, declaring that it is "unfailingly one of the most brilliant contemporary shoegaze albums ever" and that it ascends "to pure perfection". [8]

Deafheaven is an American post-metal band formed in 2010. Originally based in San Francisco, the group began as a two-piece with singer George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy, who recorded and self-released a demo album together. Following its release, Deafheaven recruited three new members and began to tour. Before the end of 2010, the band signed to Deathwish Inc. and later released their debut album Roads to Judah, in April 2011. They popularized a unique style blending black metal, shoegaze, and post-rock, among other influences, later called "blackgaze" by reviewers.

<i>Music for Cars</i> 2013 EP by the 1975

Music for Cars is the third extended play (EP) by English band The 1975, released on 4 March 2013 by Dirty Hit, Polydor Records and Vagrant Records. Development of the record began after the band completed their eponymous debut album. Working with producer Mike Crossey, the 1975 created "Chocolate" during the album's recording sessions before building the other tracks of the EP around the song. The band sought to create a cohesive concept for the record, primarily producing the remaining four songs by themselves in the bedroom of singer Healy at Rose Cottage in Cheshire.

The emo revival was an underground emo movement which began in the late 2000s and had declined by the mid–to late 2010s. The movement began towards the end of the 2000s third wave of emo, with bands like Tigers Jaw, Algernon Cadwallader and Snowing who distanced themselves from the era's pop sensibilities and instead revived the sound of 1990s second wave emo. This coincided with the rise of bands, like Touché Amoré, La Dispute and Defeater, who too embraced the influence of 1990s emo, as well as screamo and post-hardcore.

The discography of Turnover, an American rock band, consists of five studio albums, four extended plays, six music videos and five appearances on compilation and split albums. The band was formed in 2009 in Virginia Beach, Virginia and released their eponymous extended play two years later on Broken Rim Records. This first project has been described as emo and pop punk. In 2012, the band signed to Run for Cover Records and put out a split with Citizen. The next year, Turnover released their debut album, Magnolia, on Run for Cover Records. Magnolia reached number 15 on the Top Heatseekers chart, but failed to chart on the Billboard 200. In 2014, the band released their second extended play, Blue Dream, on Broken Rim Records.

<i>Bell Hooks</i> (mixtape) 2012 mixtape by BBU

Bell Hooks is the second mixtape by American hip hop group BBU. It was released on Mishka and Mad Decent on February 21, 2012. Mixed by DJ Benzi, it features guest appearances from GLC, Mic Terror, and Das Racist. Its title derives from the pen name of feminist writer Gloria Jean Watkins. Music videos were created for "The Hood" and "Outlaw Culture", the former of which was included on Stereogum's "5 Best Videos of the Week" list.

To See the Next Part of the Dream is the second studio album by South Korean musician Parannoul. It was independently released on 23 February 2021. On 23 February 2022, a follow-up extended play titled White Ceiling / Black Dots Wandering Around was released to mark the album's one year anniversary, composed of B-sides not included on the initial album.

Will Kraus, known mononymously as Kraus, is an American shoegaze musician. In 2021, Carly Wu of Far Out Magazine elected his second studio album Path as the 18th best shoegaze album of all time.

Izzy True is an American indie rock band signed to Don Giovanni Records. Originally the solo project of Isabel Reidy, the band now consists of Reidy, Curt Oren and Samuel Goldstein. Prior to the addition of Oren and Goldstein, the group consisted of Angela DeVivo, Jon Samuels, and Silas Reidy.
