Patrick Henry Mall is a shopping mall in Newport News, Virginia. It is located on Interstate 64 Westbound and Jefferson Ave (Virginia State Route 143) at exit 255A. The mall is anchored by Dillard's, Dick's Sporting Goods, J. C. Penney and Macy's. In 2017 Patrick Henry lost Old Navy - a major tenant - when it chose to leave and move to Jefferson Commons.
Patrick Henry Mall, which is named after the adjacent Patrick Henry International Airport, opened as the Peninsula area's third enclosed regional mall in 1987. It was built on a site previously occupied by a large dairy farm run by the Yoders, a local Mennonite family. [3] It was the first mall in the region to feature a food court. [4] Built by Crown American, it was originally anchored by Hess's, Leggett, and Bradlees. [5] The Bradlees store became Uptons in 1988. [6] Hess's sold its store in the mall to Proffitt's in 1995; both it and the Leggett became Dillard's stores in 1998. [7] [8] A 1998 expansion added Hecht's (rebranded Macy's in 2006). [9] Uptons closed in 1999 and became J. C. Penney in 2000. [10]
Dillard's consolidated operations into the former Leggett building in 2004. The former Hess's/Proffitt's/Dillard's Home Store was then torn down for a 2005-2006 expansion which included a Dick's Sporting Goods, Borders Books & Music, plus New York & Company, Red Robin, and new locations for existing retailers American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Express, and Hallmark Cards. [11] Borders closed in early 2011 [12] and became Forever 21 in October 2012.
In September 2017, Tilt Studio announced that will be opening this location, with J.P. Pepperoni restaurant, mini bowling alley, one-story laser tag, games and others. This opened on December 18, 2017, in the former AMC 7/Old Navy.

Proffitt's was a department store chain based in Alcoa, Tennessee. The chain was founded in 1919 by David W. Proffitt and James Ellis. In 2006, the Proffitt's and McRae's stores were converted into Belk after Belk had acquired the two chains in July 2005 from Saks, Inc. At the time of their demise they operated 47 Proffitts & McRae's stores.

The Shops at Willow Lawn is a shopping center located slightly outside the city limits of Richmond, Virginia in unincorporated Henrico County. It is the first shopping center in the Richmond area. At 1,170,000 square feet (109,000 m2) of gross leasable area, it is the largest mall in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area of southeastern Virginia and one of the largest malls on the East Coast. The mall contains more than 180 stores, including Dillard's, JCPenney, and Macy's as main anchor stores. Other stores and junior anchors at the mall include Apple, Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, L.L. Bean, XXI Forever, H&M, and Old Navy. Dave & Busters is also a recent addition to the mall and region. An 18 screen AMC Theatres complex anchors an open-air pedestrian plaza. Virginia Center Commons (VCC) was an enclosed shopping mall located in Glen Allen, Virginia, near the state capital of Richmond. Built in 1991, Simon Property Group owned the mall until 2014 when it was split off to Washington Prime Group. In January 2017, the mall was sold again to Kohan Retail Investment Group.

The Town Center is located on the site of the original Coliseum Mall, an enclosed facility constructed in 1973 by Mall Properties Inc. of New York, its only owner. At 991,000-square feet, Peninsula Town Center is the largest redevelopment project in Hampton's history. Mall Properties has teamed with Steiner + Associates, which developed Easton Town Center in Columbus; Zona Rosa in Kansas City; The Greene Town Center near Dayton; and Bayshore Town Center near Milwaukee to create Peninsula Town Center.
Orlando Fashion Square is a split one-story, two-story indoor shopping mall located in Orlando, Florida. Opened in 1973, it features 79 stores in over one million square feet of shop space. The mall's anchor stores are Macy's, Floor & Decor, and Dillard's Clearance Center. Predating the mall's opening was a Sears department store opened in 1963; this store closed in 2016 and has been razed for redevelopment. JCPenney, another anchor store, closed in 2020. Other major tenants include Premiere Cinemas and Planet Fitness. The mall is managed by UP Development, Inc.

Military Circle Mall, known as The Gallery at Military Circle Mall from 2002 to 2015, is a soon to be demolished abandoned enclosed shopping mall in Norfolk, Virginia. The mall opened in 1970. In October 2016 the Virginia Beach City Council rejected plans for an oceanfront arena. This vote triggered discussions for the Military Circle area to include the construction of a 20,000 seat multi purpose arena. However, rising city debt and other priorities appear to negate any near-term plans for a new arena to the area. The anchor stores are Ross Dress for Less, Optima Health, and Movement Mortgage. There are 3 vacant anchor stores that were once Cinemark, Sears, and Macy's. The mall permanently closed to the public on January 31, 2023.
