The Village At Leesburg is a regional outdoor center located in Leesburg, Virginia in the United States. The open-air center features a total of 1.2 million square feet of development encompassing 57 acres.

History

Development on the center began in 2008 by developers Cypress Equities and Kettler, in partnership with global private equity firm The Carlyle Group. [1] Village at Leesburg celebrated its Grand Opening in 2011, making it the first mixed-use center of its kind in Loudoun County. [2] In February 2014, the Loudoun Times-Mirror moved its operations from downtown Leesburg to Village at Leesburg. [3] In October 2014, the Leesburg Town Council unanimously approved a Village at Leesburg's rezoning application, removing the 28,000-square-foot limitation on restaurant uses in the developments Land Bay A. [4]

Shops

The open air development features over 40 retailers and restaurants, including multi-family residences, [5] [6] office [7] and retail space. First-floor tenants include retailers like Wegmans Food Markets, [8] [9] Cobb Theatres, [10] Sweet & Sassy, [11] Travinia Italian Kitchen, [12] and LA Fitness, however, a majority of the tenants are independent retailers.

There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Elder-Beerman and Sears. Located ten miles (16 km) south of downtown Dayton, just north of the junction of Interstate 75 and Interstate 675 between the suburbs of Centerville and Miamisburg, the mall has attracted millions of visitors since its grand opening in 1970. The mall is owned by Washington Prime Group, a Columbus-based firm, which acquired the complex in 1997; the company also owns The Mall at Fairfield Commons nearby.

Dulles Town Center

The Dulles Town Center (DTC) is a two-level enclosed shopping mall in the Dulles community of unincorporated Loudoun County, Virginia, United States, located five miles north of the Washington Dulles International Airport. The retail center gives its name to the census-designated place (CDP) within which it is located. It encompasses 1,400,000 square feet (130,000 m2) of GLA and is the largest enclosed shopping center in Loudoun County. The mall caters to the burgeoning and affluent population of eastern Loudoun and western Fairfax counties. Dulles Town Center is anchored by Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, Macy's, and Sears and features an eclectic mix of upscale retailers such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, and LOFT. In addition, the mall has been a launch pad for international retailers emerging into the U.S. market. High-end New Zealand children's store Pumpkin Patch opened its second U.S. store and German restaurant chain Vapiano opened its third U.S. location at Dulles Town Center in 2007 however it is now closed. In 2015, Vapiano closed down and its former spot is now a Los Toltecos Mexican Restaurant in the mall. The other anchors were Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom with no current occupier of their former spaces.

Frost Bank Tower

The Frost Bank Tower is a skyscraper in Austin, Texas, United States. Standing 515 feet (157 m) tall with 33 floors, it is the fifth tallest building in Austin, behind The Independent, The Austonian, Fairmont Austin, and the 360 Condominiums. It was developed by Cousins Properties from November 2001 to December 2003 as a class A office building with 525,000 sq ft (48,774 m2) of leasable space. It was the first high-rise building to be constructed in the United States after the 9/11 attacks. The building was officially dedicated in January 2004.

St. Johns Town Center

The St. Johns Town Center is an upscale super-regional open-air mall in southeast Jacksonville, Florida. It opened its doors on March 18, 2005 with over 167 stores, many of which were new to the Jacksonville market at the time. The 51.2-acre (0.207 km2) mall is located at the intersection of J. Turner Butler Boulevard and the Interstate 295 East Beltway, with the University of North Florida's campus situated across I-295 from the center.

The Natick Mall is a shopping mall in Natick, Massachusetts. The original facility was the first enclosed shopping mall in Greater Boston upon opening in 1966; it was demolished and replaced by a larger building in 1994 and expanded in 2007. The mall, with the adjacent Shopper's World power center in Framingham, are major components of the Golden Triangle shopping district in the center of MetroWest, situated between Route 9 and Route 30. With 1,860,000 square feet (173,000 m2) of gross leasable area, the Natick Mall is the largest in New England by number of tenants, with 214. Greengate Centre is an open-air power center in Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located on U.S. Route 30. The center opened in 2005 on the site of the defunct Greengate Mall, which was demolished in 2003. Greengate Centre currently encompasses over 430,000 square feet (40,000 m2) of retail space, and more than 45 stores and restaurants. Baybrook Mall

Baybrook Mall is a shopping mall located near the Clear Lake City area in Houston, Texas; It has a Friendswood mailing address, but it is in the Houston city limits. The mall is located off Interstate 45, and it is also in proximity to Webster and the NASA Johnson Space Center. Hyde Park Village Shopping district

Hyde Park Village is an upscale open-air shopping district located in the neighborhood of Hyde Park in Tampa, Florida, United States. The center is situated in several buildings located between Swann and Rome Avenues, just a few blocks east of the SoHo district.

Pacific Commons is a master-planned, mixed-use development consisting of 840 acres in Fremont, California currently in development by Catellus Development Corporation. It sits on part of the site of what was once the Fremont Dragstrip/Baylands Raceway Park and the Skyways Airport, a glider field. Given Fremont's location at the Northern tip of Silicon Valley, Catellus originally planned the development to house primarily high-tech research and development operations with a moderate amount of retail and restaurant space, a convention center, and a hotel. Until the dot-com bubble, Cisco Systems had planned to relocate its headquarters to Pacific Commons and consolidate substantially all of its San Francisco Bay Area operations to a large campus in Pacific Commons, which would have consisted of several high-rise office buildings. With the downturn in the technology industry, however, Cisco put its plans on hold. While it is unclear whether Cisco will ultimately relocate its headquarters to Fremont, in 2011 Cisco purchased 149 acres of vacant land in Fremont, most of it from Catellus, fueling speculation that, at some point, it will move forward with its headquarters move to Pacific Commons.
