Pelican School District is a school district headquartered in Pelican, Alaska. It operates a single K-12 school. [2]

In 1999 the school had 30 students. Beginning circa 1999 the Anchorage company Education Resources Inc. was scheduled to enter a contract with the district to provide management services. [3] As of the 2017–2018 school year, the school had 8 students. [4]

Chugiak High School is a public high school located in Chugiak, Anchorage, Alaska, and a part of the Anchorage School District. Chugiak's mascot is the Mustang and the school colors are blue, black, and white. In 2005, Chugiak's student population was split as half their students went to the new Eagle River High School. As of 2020, it has a student enrollment of 905 and 47 teachers.

Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School (BDEAHS) is a public high school which serves grades 9–12 in Anchorage, Alaska, United States. It is part of the Anchorage School District. The current principal is Ron Brown. East's mascot is the Thunderbird, and the school colors are red and blue. With an enrollment of 1,765 students as of the 2019–2020 school year, East High School is the second largest school in Alaska, after West Anchorage High School, which enrolled 1,772 students in the same school year. In October 2020, it was decided by the Anchorage School District Board to rename East Anchorage High School as Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School after the late Bettye Davis.

Legal education in Alaska refers to the history of efforts to educate Alaskans in the laws of the state, including the education of those representing themselves before the courts, paralegals and the continuing legal education of Alaskan lawyers after their admission to the Alaska Bar Association. Since becoming the 49th state of the United States on January 3, 1959 Alaska has not had a public, American Bar Association-accredited law school. A 1975 study by former Alaska Attorney General (1970–1973) John E. Havelock concluded that the state did not require a law school. Without a state law school, Alaska did not receive a 2001 distribution of the complete legal papers of Abraham Lincoln and the Alaska Law Review has been published outside Alaska.
