Nenana City School District (NCSD) is a school district in Nenana, Alaska.
It operates one public school, the Nenana City School (NCS), which has 179 students as of 2017–2018. Some students live in the Nenana Student Living Center, the district's boarding facility. The district also runs CyberLynx Correspondence Program. [2]
The Nenana Student Living Center (NSLC) is a boarding home for high school students (grades 9–12) operated by the NCSD. As of 2018, it houses about 77 students who originate from various parts of Alaska. [3] It is one of three in the state of Alaska. The students attend the regular Nenana City School and are not segregated in a separate education program. The center's students make up about 70% of the high school's enrollment.[ citation needed ]

The name is an anglicized version of the Lower Tanana Athabaskan name Menhti, meaning 'among the lakes'. After repeated flooding the village was relocated to its present location in 1969. The former village site is now known as Old Minto.

Mt. Edgecumbe High School is a public boarding high school in Sitka, Alaska in the United States. Located on Japonski Island, across Sitka Harbor from the northwestern corner of downtown Sitka, the school is situated on a portion of Sitka's former World War II-era military installations. Established in 1947 after the military abandoned the area, the school was originally operated by the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) as part of a network of boarding high schools, which included schools in Eklutna and Wrangell. After several decades of operation by the BIA, the school was briefly closed in the 1980s before being reopened by the Alaska Department of Education, which operates it today.

Susq-Cyber Charter School was a small, public, cyber charter school whose headquarters were located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The school offered grades 9th through 12th. Students residing in any region of Pennsylvania were able to enroll in the school. The curriculum and instruction were internet based. Teachers were available to pupils, during traditional school day hours via phone and internet. Susq-Cyber Charter School was one of 14 public, cyber charter schools operating in Pennsylvania in 2014. In 2016, enrollment was reported as 103 pupils in 9th through 12th grades. All students were assigned a Distance Learning Monitor who checked their progress and remained in contact with them through emails, on-line chats through the programs or by phone. Teachers were available to tutor students, to review their problem areas, and to set up plans for achievement that the student could follow between tutoring sessions. Tutoring sessions were held on line using Elluminate or with teachers either at the testing centers or at various locations throughout the state which included libraries in the students' home area, at university library facilities, or at community centers.
