Perfect Timing is the first and only studio album by American hip hop duo Boo & Gotti. It was released on August 26, 2003, through Cash Money Records and Universal Records. Recording sessions took place at Patchwerk Recording Studios in Atlanta, at Circle House Studios in Miami, at Quad Recording Studios in New York City, at Rockland Studios in Chicago, and at Cash Money Studios in New Orleans. Production was handled by Mannie Fresh, Kanye West, Jazze Pha, Leslie Brathwaite and R. Kelly. It features guest appearances from Big Tymers, Black Child, Gillie Da Kid, Jazze Pha, Lac, Lil' Wayne, Mikkey, R. Kelly, Stone, Tateeze and TQ.
Despite being released by one of hip hop's most popular labels, Perfect Timing was poorly promoted and failed commercially, only reaching 195 on the Billboard 200, dropping off the chart after only one week. The album's lead single was a collaboration with Lil' Wayne entitled "Ain't It Man", however the single failed to reach the Billboard charts. [3] According to Gotti, the album sold around 80,000 copies as of 2015 in the U.S.

The label has been home to a roster of hip hop artists, including Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj, and is regarded as one of the most successful in hip-hop history.

Goodies is the debut studio album by American singer Ciara. It was released on September 28, 2004, via Jazze Pha's Sho'nuff Records and LaFace Records. After writing songs for several established acts, Ciara's talents were noticed by Jazze Pha, and she began to work on what became Goodies. The album's conception came through the title track, produced by Lil Jon and created as a female crunk counterpart to other singles produced by Lil Jon such as Usher's "Yeah!" and Petey Pablo's "Freek-a-Leek". Lloyd Polite Jr., better known by his mononym Lloyd, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. Lloyd began his career in music as a member of the preteen-boy band N-Toon. The group disbanded in 2001 and Lloyd embarked on a solo career in 2003. He subsequently signed a recording contract with Murder Inc. Records and Def Jam Recordings. In 2004, Lloyd released his solo debut single "Southside", the title track of his debut album, Southside. The single features Ashanti, and it quickly charted on the US Billboard Hot 100, and became a Top 40 hit. His second album Street Love, was released on March 13, 2007. It featured the top-twenty hits "You" and "Get It Shawty".

It was released on July 11, 2006 through Rap-A-Lot Records, Asylum Records and Atlantic Records, making it the rapper's last solo album released during his lifetime. Recording sessions took place at Dean's List House of Hits, at M.A.D. Studios and Studio 7303 in Houston and at PatchWerk Recording Studios in Atlanta. "You" is a song by American R&B artist Lloyd featuring rapper Lil Wayne, and was produced by Big Reese and Jasper Cameron for Lloyd's second studio album, Street Love. It was recorded in the producer's basement. It is the first official single off the album. Lloyd himself has reported that he leaked the song to an Atlanta radio station to receive airplay. Originally, the song featured Atlanta rapper Tango Redd, but he was replaced with Lil Wayne for the official release. The song features an interpolation of Spandau Ballet's song "True". On February 8, 2007, "You" became Lloyd's first and Lil Wayne's second top-ten single on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, charting at number nine. The song reached number one on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in February 2007, becoming both Lloyd and Lil Wayne's first number-one single on this chart. On the UK Singles Chart, the single debuted on May 28, 2007, at number sixty-six on download sales alone, and moved up to number forty-five.
