Edward Michael Burke is an American politician found guilty of racketeering,bribery,and extortion who served as the alderman of Chicago's 14th ward from 1969 to 2023. A member of the Democratic Party,he was first elected to the Chicago City Council in 1969,and represented part of the city's Southwest Side.
