Peter Elisha Hume (born Peter Elisha Cobbe, 4 September 1985) is a New Zealand singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and art director; originally from Whangaparaoa. Hume is the middle of three brothers (with Jon and Dann) who formed the band Evermore. [1] [2] Hume has contributed to songs for Evermore and also sung lead vocals on some of the band's album tracks. In 2008, Hume was shortlisted for the Cleo Bachelor of the Year award. [3]
Born Peter Elisha Cobbe, [4] [5] [6] as the middle son of the Hume family. Alongside brothers Jon and Dann they formed Evermore in Feilding in 1999. [1] [2] Hume attended Red Beach Primary School until the age of 9, after which, he and his brothers became home schooled by their mother. [7]
Peter played inter-club tennis and had a great passion for colouring-in competitions along with his younger brother Dann Hume. Unfortunately his career as a colouring-in champion was cut short due to a scandal of adults believing the artwork was created by someone much older.
As teenagers, the Hume brothers moved to Australia to pursue music professionally. Their mother is from Australia and father is from New Zealand.
Hume has contributed to Evermore songs such as 'Hero', 'Come to Nothing', 'For One Day', 'Between the Lines', 'Follow The Sun' and 'It's Too Late' [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] and also sung on Evermore album tracks including 'Morning Star', 'That's The Way', 'Dreaming... Pt.2', 'Broken Glass', 'Inside Of Me', 'Haunted', and 'It's Only Love'.
As part of Evermore, Hume plays bass guitar, keyboards, piano, ukulele, mandolin, guitar and vocals.
He also contributes artwork, photography, graphic design and cinematography to the band's albums, music videos and other promotional material. [1] [2]

Evermore were a rock band formed in Feilding, New Zealand, in 1999, made up of three brothers Jon, Peter and Dann Hume. The band was based in Sydney from 2004 to 2007 and then Melbourne until they became inactive in 2014. Evermore released four studio albums: Dreams (2004), Real Life (2006), Truth of the World: Welcome to the Show (2009), and Follow the Sun (2012), as well as a self-titled compilation album (2010). Real Life and Truth of the World were their highest charting studio albums in New Zealand and Australia, while Dreams and Real Life received platinum certifications from Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).
Dann Hume is a New Zealand musician, music producer, mix engineer and songwriter. Hume began his career with his two brothers who formed the alternative rock band, Evermore in 1999. Hume co-wrote songs for Evermore, "Running", "Light Surrounding You" and "It's Too Late".
"Running" is the lead single from New Zealand alternative rock band Evermore's second studio album, Real Life (2006). The song was written by drummer Dann Hume and co-produced by lead vocalist Jon Hume with John Alagía. "Running" was issued on 5 June 2006, a month ahead of the album. The track subsequently peaked at No. 4 on New Zealand's RIANZ Singles Chart and No. 5 on Australia's ARIA Singles Chart.
"Come to Nothing" is the third single by Evermore, taken from their debut album, Dreams. It was released in May 2005 and peaked at No. 51 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The song features on The OC Mix 2 soundtrack as a bonus Australian release only track. It also features on the Australian and New Zealand editions of SingStar Pop. In Australia, the song was listed at No. 14 on Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2004.
"Light Surrounding You" is the second single by alternative rock band, Evermore, taken from their second studio album, Real Life. It was written by Dann Hume, the group's drummer. The record is co-produced by Jon Hume. The song was released in October 2006 and peaked at No. 15 on the RIANZ Singles Chart in New Zealand and number one on the ARIA Singles Chart, making it Evermore's most successful single in Australia. It was the first single by a New Zealand artist to top the Australian charts since "How Bizarre" by OMC in 1996.
Jon Cobbe Hume is an Australian-born New Zealand musician, songwriter and producer based between Los Angeles and Nashville who has written and produced songs for JP Cooper, Galantis, Bebe Rexha, Guy Sebastian, Sofi Tukker, Dean Lewis, Icona Pop, Elle King, Joshua Bassett, Wilder Woods and Zhu. He is also known as the eldest of three brothers who made up the New Zealand band Evermore (1999–2014), of which he was the lead singer.

The Preatures were an Australian indie rock band from Sydney, New South Wales, who formed in 2010. The APRA Music Awards are provided by APRA AMCOS and celebrate excellence in contemporary music, honouring songwriters and publishers that have achieved artistic excellence and outstanding success in their fields. In January, 20 songs shortlisted for Song of the Year were announced. On 30 March 2023, the final nominations were provided. Winners of the 2023 Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music were Colin Hay and Colleen Ironside.
