Peyton Hendershot (born April 23, 1999) is an American football tight end for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Indiana.
Hendershot played college football at the Indiana University Bloomington. [1] [2] [3] He appeared in 32 games across four seasons with the Hoosiers, playing for head coach Tom Allen. [4] [5] As a senior in 2021, Hendershot had 543 receiving yards and four touchdowns and earned Third-team All-Big Ten honors. [6] [7]

Hendershot signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2022. [10] He made the initial 53-man roster out of training camp. [11] In Week 7 of the 2022 season, he scored his first NFL touchdown on a two-yard reception in the 24–6 victory over the Detroit Lions. [12] As a rookie, he appeared in all 17 games and started two. He recorded 11 receptions for 103 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. In addition, he had a role on special teams. [13]
Hendershot entered the 2023 season second on the tight end depth chart behind Jake Ferguson. He suffered an ankle injury in Week 3 and was placed on injured reserve on October 12, 2023. [14] He was activated on December 6.

George Taliaferro was a professional American football player who was the first African American drafted by a National Football League (NFL) team. Beginning his football career at Indiana University for the Hoosiers team, he played in the NFL for the New York Yanks from 1950 to 1951, the Dallas Texans in 1952, the Baltimore Colts from 1953 to 1954, and Philadelphia Eagles in 1955.
The Indiana Hoosiers football program represents Indiana University Bloomington in NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision college football and in the Big Ten Conference. The Hoosiers have played their home games at Memorial Stadium since 1960. The team has won the Big Ten Championship twice, once in 1945 and again in 1967. The Hoosiers have appeared in 12 bowl games, including the 1968 Rose Bowl. Six Indiana players have been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, including Zora Clevinger, Bill Ingram, Pete Pihos, George Taliaferro, John Tavener, and Anthony Thompson, who was also National Player of the Year in 1989. The Hoosiers are currently led by head coach Curt Cignetti. Currently, the Indiana Hoosiers hold the record for most lifetime losses by a Division I team (713), and the third worst winning percentage (42%) of any Division I team with over 1000 games played. Since 1895, only six of the 25 head coaches have left Indiana University with a winning record. The last one being Bo McMillan in 1947.
Cody Derek Latimer is an American football wide receiver for the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (UFL). He was selected by the Denver Broncos as a wide receiver in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft. He played college football at Indiana. He was a member of the Broncos in their Super Bowl 50 win.
