The Philippine Futsal League is the top-flight futsal league in the Philippines. The league hosts separate competitions for both men and women. It was founded in 2009 and is organized by the futsal committee of the Philippine Football Federation. It was for long headed by Esmaeil Sedigh who formerly coached the Philippines national futsal team. [1] [2] [3]

In its last season in 2016, it was contested by 12 clubs and operated without a system of promotion and relegation with UFL Division 2, which was discontinued. Games were often scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. To avoid the country's rainy season, the league usually kicked off sometime between the months of January and February each year.
