Playa de El Chinarral is a beach in the municipality of Algeciras, southeastern Spain. It overlooks the Bay of Algeciras and the tip of the rock of Gibraltar. It is approximately 250 metres in length and 40 metres wide on average. It is located between Punta de San Garcia and El Rodeo, south of the city. [1]

Algeciras City in Andalusia, Spain

Algeciras is a port city in the south of Spain, and is the largest city on the Bay of Gibraltar. The Port of Algeciras is one of the largest ports in Europe and the world in three categories: container, cargo and transhipment. It is located 20 km north-east of Tarifa on the Río de la Miel, which is the southernmost river of the Iberian peninsula and continental Europe. In 2015, it had a population of 118,920.

Gibraltar British Overseas Territory

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. It has an area of 6.7 km2 (2.6 sq mi) and is bordered to the north by Spain. The landscape is dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar at the foot of which is a densely populated town area, home to over 30,000 people, primarily Gibraltarians.

The beach has fine sand and calm waters sheltered by a small cove. The bottom of the water is largely rocky reefs, very dangerous for navigation. It continues north to an area of cliffs and the basin of the Port of Algeciras. The area is rarely visited due to its small size and difficult access, surrounded by private houses.

The Port of Algeciras is the port and harbour of Algeciras, a city located in the province of Cádiz in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It is a commercial, fishing and passenger port. It consists of numerous maritime infrastructures scattered throughout the Bay of Gibraltar. Although only the town of Algeciras and La Línea de la Concepción overlook the bay, there are port facilities in the rest of the bank, also belonging to the municipalities of San Roque and Los Barrios. It is managed along the port of Tarifa by the Port Authority of Algeciras Bay.

It consists of a series of three small coves of similar appearance, with beaches of rocks and small stones. Both the terrestrial and marine environment of the area lies within the natural park. Its surroundings are largely undisturbed by human activity; the nearest settlement is the coastal community of Getares, a small outlying development of the city of Algeciras located about 1 km to the north. The beach is framed by cliffs and the Isla de las Palomas lies a short distance offshore.

Playa de El Rinconcillo is a beach in the Province of Cadiz, Andalusia, Spain, located to the north of the city of Algeciras, near the neighborhood of El Rinconcillo. It looks across to the rock of Gibraltar and La Línea de la Concepción.

Paseo Cornisa

Paseo Cornisa is a park in Algeciras, Spain. It was inaugurated in May 2007. It stretches for just over a kilometre between Punta del Cementerio and Punta del Almirante in the north of the city near the old cemetery and parallel to the Playa del Barranco and Playa de El Rinconcillo. The park has an area of over 20,000 square metres (220,000 sq ft). Within the park is the Torre del Almirante or Admiral's Tower which dates from the 14th century.

Hotel AC Algeciras is a hotel on Carretera del Rinconcillo in southern Algeciras, in the Province of Cádiz in southeastern Spain. It is located in close proximity to the Playa de Los Ladrillos. It is located in a modern, angular-looking, dark grey building, and is one of the newest and modern hotels in the city, built in 2005–06, operated by AC Hotels and Marriott Hotels. Frommer's said of it "The most contemporary hotel in town, this AC stands in front of the Puerto Marítimo, only 1km from the city center. The rooms are modern minimalist yet very comfortable, and the hotel is well maintained."

Parque del Centenario

The Parque del Centenario is a park located in Algeciras. It was established in 2007 thanks to the collaboration between the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras and City Hall to mark the hundredth anniversary of the Algeciras Conference. The park covers more than 100,000 m2, and lies on the ruins of the old Fuerte de San García, destroyed around 1811 by the British troops on the occasion of the independence war between Spain and France. Surrounding the park are several developments of villas and two beaches, San Garcia and the Chinarral.

Parque de las Acacias de Algeciras

Parque de las Acacias de Algeciras is a park in Algeciras, southeastern Spain. Established in 1975, it covers an area of 19,300 square metres (208,000 sq ft). The Museo municipal de Algeciras lies to the north and Villa Smith lies in the southern part of the park. The historic Hotel Reina Cristina overlooks the park on its western side.

Nico Reparaciones Navales SA, Mediterráneo SA, Recomar SA, Lozano, Ivesur, MD Nautica SL, Talleres Barberans, Sofrial, Autransa, Algesonitc, and Sea Land Traders International all have warehouses here. Several of the firms based in Polígono manufacture containers for shipment to the nearby Port of Algeciras, such as Mediterráneo SA, also known as Comesa and are generally mechanical firms.

Playa de La Atunara

Playa de La Atunara is a beach in the municipality of La Línea de la Concepción, in the Province of Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain. It has a length of about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) and average width of about 90 metres (300 ft). It is a busy beach and bordered on the south by the Playa de Levante and north by the Playa de Torrenueva. In its vicinity are the remains of the Tunara battery. It has a seafront promenade of restaurants, known for their pescaitos and clams. Among the highlights are the traditions of the Virgin of Carmen exiting the port of La Atunara through the streets in a parade. It has all the basic services required of an urban beach, daily waste collection season, toilets, showers and disabled access and presence of police and local rescue equipment.

Playa de La Hacienda is a beach in the municipality of La Línea de la Concepción, in the Province of Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain. It has a length of about 4.3 kilometres (2.7 mi) and average width of about 90 metres (300 ft). It is a busy beach north of the city and bordered to the south with the Playa de Torrenueva and to the north with the Playa de La Alcaidesa.

Port of Tarifa

The Port of Tarifa is a commercial harbor for fishing and passenger boats, located in the Andalusian town of Tarifa. It is managed by the Port Authority of Algeciras and is the closest European port to North Africa and on the main shipping route to Tangier in Morocco and Ceuta. It has a length of 25 metres, and depth of 50 metres.
