Playa del Barranco is a beach in the municipality of Algeciras, southeastern Spain. It overlooks the Bay of Algeciras. It is approximately 500 metres in length. To the north is the Playa de El Rinconcillo.

Playa de las Américas is a purpose-built holiday resort in Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands of Spain. It is located in the southern and southern-west part of the Municipality of Arona, close to the adjoining Municipality of Adeje in the west of Tenerife. It was built in the 1960s a few miles distant from the fishing village of Los Cristianos. Playa de las Americas now (2021) is part of the contiguous touristic construction zone lining Tenerife's entire southwestern coast. The resort area features bars, nightclubs, restaurants, attractions, and beaches, most of which are man-made with imported sand from Africa due to the darkness of the native volcanic sand. Playa de las Americas is a centre of nightlife in Tenerife. Nightlife is spread around the resort and includes the Veronicas Strip, Starco Commercial Centre and the Patch.

The Port of Algeciras is the port and harbour of Algeciras, a city located in the province of Cádiz in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It is a commercial, fishing and passenger port. Primarily a transshipment port, its position near the Strait of Gibraltar and key east–west shipping routes establishes it as one of the busiest transshipment hubs in the world. It competes with Tanger-Med for the local transshipment market. It consists of numerous maritime infrastructures scattered throughout the Bay of Gibraltar. Although only the town of Algeciras and La Línea de la Concepción overlook the bay, there are port facilities in the rest of the bank, also belonging to the municipalities of San Roque and Los Barrios. It is managed along the port of Tarifa by the Port Authority of Algeciras Bay.

Cala Arenas is a beach situated near the city of Algeciras in Spain, within the El Estrecho Natural Park. It is located at the southern end of the Bay of Gibraltar and faces the Strait of Gibraltar. It measures about 400 metres (1,300 ft) long by about 30 metres (98 ft) deep. The beach is somewhat difficult to access, but can be reached via coastal paths from Punta Carnero and Punta del Fraile. It consists of a series of three small coves of similar appearance, with beaches of rocks and small stones. Both the terrestrial and marine environment of the area lies within the natural park. Its surroundings are largely undisturbed by human activity; the nearest settlement is the coastal community of Getares, a small outlying development of the city of Algeciras located about 1 km to the north. The beach is framed by cliffs and the Isla de las Palomas lies a short distance offshore.

Capilla del Cristo de la Alameda is a chapel in Algeciras, Spain. It was built in 1776 at the initiative of the priest Domingo Perez. The building was then situated along one of Algeciras's main streets of the time, Calle Alameda, and was attended by many sailors entering the port. In 1931 the church was assaulted and in subsequent years was converted into a storehouse and then an auto repair shop until the late 1990s when the city recovered it and it became the headquarters of the Municipal Museum of Sacred Art. The chapel consists of a single room and a small sacristy, and has a Baroque gabled facade.

Torre del Arroyo del Lobo is a ruined medieval defensive tower near Algeciras, Spain. It is located in the cove of Getares, and monitored the stretch of coast from Punta Carnero to Punta de San García between the cities of Algeciras and Tarifa as part of the defensive system of the Strait of Gibraltar in the Middle Ages.

The Kursaal of Algeciras is a building in the Paseo del Rio de la Miel of Algeciras, Spain. It is the work of artist Guillermo Pérez Villalta and architect Enrique Salvo. Also known as the Kursaal Congress Centre or Rio de la Miel, it was opened in 2007 after a decade of work. The building was designed in the late nineties as the seat of the Chamber of Commerce of Gibraltar but the work was halted until being rescued by the city council.

The Río Palmones is a river of the Province of Cádiz in Southeastern coastal Spain. Its source is in Lomas del Castaño, Sierra Blanquilla, and it flows for some 37 kilometres (23 mi) into the Bay of Gibraltar, North of the city of Algeciras, in the neighborhood of Palmones. The Battle of Río Palmones took place here in 1342.

The Parque del Centenario is a park located in Algeciras. It was established in 2007 thanks to the collaboration between the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras and City Hall to mark the hundredth anniversary of the Algeciras Conference. The park covers more than 100,000 m2, and lies on the ruins of the old Fuerte de San García, destroyed around 1811 by the British troops on the occasion of the independence war between Spain and France. Surrounding the park are several developments of villas and two beaches, San Garcia and the Chinarral.

Algeciras Municipal Library is a public library network in Algeciras, Spain. Its headquarters are at the Biblioteca Cristóbal Delgado, located on Salvador Allende Street. There are two branches, including one in the Saladillo neighborhood, Biblioteca El Saladillo, and another in the La Granja neighborhood, Biblioteca Pérez Petinto. In addition to its book collection and reference materials, the institution offers a variety of cultural activities such as a book club. The library is run by the municipality. It was established in 1925 by the local historian Manuel Pérez-Petinto y Costa.

The Batería de la Atunara was an artillery battery in La Línea de la Concepción, Spain. Constructed by the Spanish military in 1735, it served as part of the line of defenses in the Gibraltar area. It was built by the Government of Spain in fear that the British Overseas Territory would spread over the isthmus.

Nico Reparaciones Navales SA, Mediterráneo SA, Recomar SA, Lozano, Ivesur, MD Nautica SL, Talleres Barberans, Sofrial, Autransa, Algesonitc, and Sea Land Traders International all have warehouses here. Several of the firms based in Polígono manufacture containers for shipment to the nearby Port of Algeciras, such as Mediterráneo SA, also known as Comesa and are generally mechanical firms.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Roman kilns of El Rinconcillo</span>

The Roman kilns of El Rinconcillo were Roman kilns located in the Spanish city of Algeciras. They were part of manufacturing complex of Portus Albus, which supplied container for transport to the processing industry of the neighboring city of Iulia Traducta, besides making other ceramic household products and items.
