"Policeman" is a song performed by Dutch singer Eva Simons, featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Konshens. [1] The song was released on 10 April 2015, followed by a music video. The song was produced by Sidney Samson, who worked with her on her previous single, "Celebrate the Rain".[ citation needed ] On 6 November 2015 a remix with Faydee was released. [2]

The Belafonte original is a work song, from the point of view of dock workers working the night shift loading bananas onto ships. The lyrics describe how daylight has come, their shift is over, and they want their work to be counted up so that they can go home.
