Pomacea prunella is a species of freshwater snail in the family Ampullariidae. [1] It is known from Brazil [1] [2] and French Guiana. [2] [3] Unlike other New World Ampullariids, P. prunella has a calcified, rather than corneous, operculum. [2] [4]
