The Port City Sharks is a member of the professional minor-league Continental Basketball League based in Savannah, Georgia which began play in 2011. Home games are played at the campus of Savannah High School.
The South Atlantic League, often informally called the Sally League, is a Minor League Baseball league with teams predominantly in states along the Atlantic coast of the United States from New York to Georgia. A Class A league for most of its history, the league was promoted to High-A as part of Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. The league temporarily operated for the 2021 season as the High-A East before reassuming its original moniker in 2022.
The Savannah Sand Gnats were a minor league baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia. They were a member of the A-level South Atlantic League. The Sand Gnats were an affiliate of the New York Mets in their final nine seasons. The team relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, in 2016 where they are now known as the Columbia Fireflies.
William L. Grayson Stadium is a stadium in Savannah, Georgia. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Savannah Bananas of the Coastal Plain League collegiate summer baseball league. It was the part-time home of the Savannah State University college baseball team from 2009 to 2011. It was also used from 1927 until 1959 for the annual Thanksgiving Day game between Savannah High School and Benedictine Military School. Known as "Historic Grayson Stadium" it was built in 1926. It holds 4,000 people. It also served as the home of the Savannah Cardinals from 1984 to 1995 and the Savannah Sand Gnats from 1996 to 2015.
The Coastal Plain League (CPL) is a wood-bat collegiate summer baseball league, featuring college players recruited from throughout the nation. The league takes its name from the Class D level Coastal League which operated in the area from 1937 to 1952.
The Eastern Indoor Soccer League (EISL) was an American professional regional indoor soccer league. The league featured teams from the Southeastern United States. The regular seasons were played from May to August with post-season play in September. The EISL lasted two seasons before folding.
Charles Brown is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons. He played for the Washington Redskins, helping them win Super Bowl XVII in his rookie season, and Atlanta Falcons. He was traded by the Redskins to the Falcons on August 26, 1985, in exchange for Pro Bowl guard R.C. Thielemann. He was nicknamed "Good ol' Charlie Brown" in reference to the eponymous comic strip character.

The Savannah Bananas are an exhibition baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia. The team was founded in 2016 and has played at Grayson Stadium since its inaugural season. Until 2022, the Bananas competed in the Coastal Plain League's (CPL) West division, where they won three Petitt Cup championships. The team has sold out every game since the first season in Savannah and every city on the Banana Ball World Tour. The team has been featured by ESPN, The Wall Street Journal, and Sports Illustrated because of its on-field hijinks and viral videos. The Bananas were named the league's organization of the year in both 2016 and 2017.

Bolton Street Park was a baseball field in Savannah, Georgia, which was home to the city's professional baseball clubs between 1885 and 1909, including the Savannah Indians from 1904 to 1909, and hosted Major League Baseball spring training between 1892 and 1908. The ballpark was located between Bolton Street and Park Avenue east of the railroad tracks running parallel to East Broad Street.
The Savannah Electrics were a minor league baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia. Savannah teams played exclusively as members of the Southern League in the 1886–1887, 1893–1894 and 1898 seasons, before folding during the 1898 season. Savannah teams of 1886 and 1887 preceded the Electrics in Southern League play. Savannah hosted home minor league games at the Bolton Street Park. Baseball Hall of Fame members Hank O'Day played for Savannah in 1886 and Fred Clarke for the 1894 Savanna Modocs.
