Power is an EP by American "Goblin Metal" band Nekrogoblikon, independently released and produced by Nekrogoblikon themselves in 2013, and was mixed by Matt Hyde. [6]

Reception

Kerrang! Magazine gave Power 5/5 Stars and Kerrang! Magazine (UK) inserted a poster of "John Goblikon" in the August 2013 issue. [7] Power is available on Bandcamp as a digital download and on CD format. A writer for Metal Sucks magazine praised Nekrogoblikon, and wrote an article for the then upcoming release of Power. [8]

Lyrics

As the other albums by Nekrogoblikon, the lyrics are heavily based on topics such as outer space and goblins. [9]

"Go Go Power Rangers" is a song by Ron Wasserman who recorded it under the name Aaron Waters - The Mighty RAW. It was released by Saban Records, later renamed Saban Music Group of Saban Capital Group, on CD and cassette formats in the US on December 2, 1994, and in the UK December 14, 1994. The song serves as the opening theme for the first three seasons of the original Power Rangers series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. It was composed using keyboard only, preloaded with guitar and drum sound since Ron Wasserman does not play either instrument. The song, with minor alterations of its lyrics, was also used for the mini-series Alien Rangers. The titular refrain, "Go Go Power Rangers!", has become a popular catchphrase associated with the show, and it has been used in several other themes for the series.

Nekrogoblikon is an American melodic death metal band based in Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 2006, by Tim Lyakhovetskiy and Nicky Calonne. The band has released five full-length albums, Goblin Island, Stench, Heavy Meta, Welcome to Bonkers, and The Fundamental Slimes and Humours, and one EP, Power. The band's music centers on goblins. As of 2023, no original members remain in the band while lead guitarist Alex "Goldberg" Alereza remains as the longest serving member.

The Defiled were a four-piece British band from London mixing groove-laden hardcore/metal with electronic music influences. They have been described by Kerrang! magazine as "The saviours of UK Metal" and championed by Metal Hammer as one of the leaders in a new wave of British metal along with bands such as While She Sleeps, Bury Tomorrow and Devil Sold His Soul.
