Prem Kumar Ale (born 26 September 1987) is an Indian ex-army soldier and a professional para-badminton player. [1] [2] He made his international debut in 2014. In 2018, he became the national champion of men's singles and men's doubles with his doubles partner Abu Hubaida. [3]
In 2019, he defeated the top-seeded Thomas Wandschneider in the BWF Para Badminton World Championships. [4] He also won a gold medal at the Dubai Para Badminton International in 2021. [5] [6]
The BWF Para Badminton World Circuit – Grade 2, Level 1, 2 and 3 tournaments has been sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation from 2022. [7] [8]

Abu Hubaida is an Indian professional para-badminton player. He made his international debut in 2016. He won his 1st international title for his country when he won a gold & a bronze medal in Uganda Para-Badminton International in 2017. He became national champion of men's singles in 2018 by beating former national champion Sanjeev Kumar.

Thomas Wandschneider is a German para-badminton player. He is a four time Para badminton world champion. He considered retiring in 2018, but changed his mind due to Badminton being at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Wandschneider is also a 14-time gold medalist at the European Para-Badminton Championships.
Qu Zimo is a Chinese wheelchair badminton player. He won two gold medals in para-badminton at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in men's singles WH1 and men's doubles WH1–WH2 respectively.
Daniel Chan Ho-yuen is a Hong Kong para-badminton player who won bronze at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. He lost his leg in a car accident in 2008.
