The President of Peking University is the chief administrator of Peking University, a major public academic institution of higher learning, located in Beijing, capital of the People's Republic of China. Each is appointed by and is responsible to the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the State Council, who delegate to him or her the day-to-day running of the university. The current president is Gong Qihuang, in office since June 2022.

Chen Xi is a Chinese politician currently serving as the head of the Organization Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and president of the Central Party School. Between 2017 and 2022, Chen has was a member of the Politburo of the CCP and a secretary of the Secretariat of the CCP. A graduate from Tsinghua University, Chen served as the party chief of the institution from 2002 to 2008. Thereafter he served as a vice-minister of education and vice chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology.
Wang Enge is a Chinese physicist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He succeeded Zhou Qifeng to the office of the President of Peking University on 22 March 2013. From 15 February 2015, he becomes the Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Hu Heping is a Chinese politician and the current Communist Party Secretary of Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Previously, he served as the governor and party chief of Shaanxi province, Communist Party Secretary of Tsinghua University.
Li Shulei is a Chinese politician who is the current head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party. Previously, he served as the executive vice president of the Central Party School and the deputy executive head of the Publicity Department. Li spent most of his career in academia, before being dispatched for a short stint as head of the propaganda department in Fujian, then as head of discipline inspection in Beijing. He is an important advisor to CCP general secretary and paramount leader Xi Jinping.
