Preston Davis (born March 10, 1962) is a former American football defensive back who played three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Baylor University and attended Estacado High School in Lubbock, Texas. [1]
George Preston Marshall was an American professional football executive who founded the National Football League (NFL)'s Washington Redskins. He founded the team as the Boston Braves in 1932. The following season, he relocated the club from Braves Field to Fenway Park and renamed them as the Redskins. Prior to the start of the 1937 NFL season, Marshall relocated the team to Washington, D.C.

Ernest R. Davis was an American college football player who was a halfback for the Syracuse Orangemen who won the Heisman Trophy in 1961. He was the award's first black recipient. Davis was selected first overall by the Washington Redskins in the 1962 NFL draft but was almost immediately traded to the Cleveland Browns. He was diagnosed with leukemia that same year, and died shortly after at age 23 without ever playing in a professional game. Winning the final was estimated to be worth up to £31 million to the successful team.
