Punk Goes 90's is the fifth album in the Punk Goes... series and the first installment in the Punk Goes 90's series created by Fearless Records. It contains popular songs from the 1990s covered by various alternative rock bands. The cover art references Nirvana's iconic Nevermind cover, on which "In Bloom" originally appeared. As of 2017 there have been a total of two albums in the franchise.

Rancid (band) American punk rock band

Rancid is an American punk rock band formed in Berkeley, California in 1991. Founded by former members of the band Operation Ivy, Rancid is often credited as being among the wave of bands that revived mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States during the mid-1990s. Over their 30-year career, Rancid retained much of its original fan-base, most of which was connected to its underground musical roots.

Punk-O-Rama was the title given to a series of ten compilation albums published by Epitaph Records. The first volume was released in 1994, the second in 1996, and the rest annually from 1998 to 2005. The albums included artists from Epitaph's roster as well as from its subsidiary label ANTI- and its partnership labels Hellcat Records and Burning Heart Records. In total the series included 257 songs contributed by 88 different artists.

The Groovie Ghoulies were an American pop punk band from Sacramento, California, United States, whose music took inspiration from horror movies. They released numerous albums, EPs, and singles, and toured internationally. The band's name was taken from the 1970s animated television series Groovie Goolies, a spinoff of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.

"Hybrid Moments" is a song by the American punk rock band Misfits. Recorded in 1978 for their proposed debut album Static Age but released in 1996 on the boxed set The Misfits, the song was written by frontman and vocalist Glenn Danzig. A version of the song also appeared on the compilation album Legacy of Brutality, which was released in 1985.

Punk Goes 80's is the fourth in album in the Punk Goes... series created by Fearless Records. It contains covers of songs that were popular in the 1980s covered by various alternative rock, and pop punk bands. This is also the first album to feature the song "Your Love" by The Outfield being covered by the band Midtown. The song would later appear again on the compilation Punk Goes Classic Rock being covered then by electronicore band I See Stars.

Punk Goes Pop is the second album in the Punk Goes... series and the first installment in the long running Punk Goes Pop series created by Fearless Records. It contains a collection of songs by various artists performing covers of pop songs. It was released on April 2, 2002. Its success caused Fearless to release more pop cover albums. As of 2017 there have been seven total Punk Goes Pop albums, more than any other in the franchise.

Fearless Records

Fearless Records is an American independent record label that was founded in 1992. Fearless is based in Culver City, California, and is best known for its early pop punk moments captured in the Fearless Flush Sampler and Punk Bites releases, as well as additional releases by bands such as Bigwig and Dynamite Boy; and later Sugarcult; Plain White T's; The Aquabats; Amely; and post-hardcore releases by At the Drive-In and Anatomy of a Ghost. However, the label has experimented with different styles in recent years. Acts such as Blessthefall, The Word Alive, Ice Nine Kills, Mayday Parade, Pierce The Veil, Starset and The Color Morale have showcased post-hardcore, metalcore and alternative rock bands that have emerged in recent years. Fearless Records' releases were distributed in the US by RED Distribution, but after Concord Music Group's purchase of the label in 2015, it is now distributed by Universal Music Group worldwide.

Punk Goes Metal was the first compilation album to be released as part of the Punk Goes... series created by Fearless Records. It features covers of hard rock and heavy metal songs by punk rock bands and was released on August 1, 2000.

Punk Goes Acoustic is the third album in the Punk Goes... series and the first installment in the Punk Goes Acoustic series created by Fearless Records. It contains a collection of both previously released and unreleased songs by various artists performing acoustically. It was packaged with a bonus CD showcasing acts on the Fearless and Victory record labels. The album was released on October 21, 2003. This was the first Punk Goes... album to deviate from the theme of performing cover songs, though it was not the first to feature an original song, following The Aquabats' "Why Rock?" on Punk Goes Metal. As of 2019, there are a total of three albums in the franchise.

<i>Punk Goes Crunk</i> 2008 compilation album by "Punk Goes..."

Punk Goes Crunk is the seventh compilation album in the Punk Goes... series released by Fearless Records. The album is composed of popular hip hop songs performed by various post-hardcore, metalcore and pop punk bands. This is the first and only Punk Goes... album to carry a Parental Advisory for the sexual, vulgar and sometimes violent nature of the songs. Both All Time Low's cover of "Umbrella" and Forever the Sickest Kids' cover of "Men in Black" were made available for streaming on March 6.

Fat Music is a series of eight compilation albums published by Fat Wreck Chords since 1994. The albums include artists from the label's roster, focusing on then-current and upcoming releases and often including previously unreleased material. In total the series includes 127 songs contributed by 49 different artists, focusing stylistically on punk rock and various subgenres such as hardcore punk, pop punk, ska punk, skate punk, and street punk. The Fat Music series tapered off after its sixth installment as the label moved from compact discs toward digital downloads for its samplers instead. Subsequent physical compilation albums released by Fat Wreck Chords were themed around social and political causes, including the benefit albums Liberation (2003) and Protect (2005), and the two volumes of Rock Against Bush released preceding the 2004 United States presidential election. In 2010 the Fat Music series was revived with the release of a seventh volume, Harder, Fatter + Louder!

It was released on March 9, 2009, in the United Kingdom and March 10, 2009, in the United States. The album debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200, selling 21,000 copies in its first week.

Punk Goes Pop Volume 5 is the thirteenth compilation album in the Punk Goes... series created by Fearless Records and the fifth installment in the Punk Goes Pop series to contain bands covering mainstream pop music. It was released on November 6, 2012 through Fearless Records. The album debuted at number sixteen on the Billboard 200, selling more than 21,000 copies within its first week. The album spawned three singles to date. The first single off the album was Memphis May Fire's cover of Grenade by Bruno Mars, which was released on October 2, 2012. The album's second single off the album was Mayday Parade's cover of Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye featuring New Zealand artist Kimbra, which also featured guest vocals by Vic Fuentes of the band Pierce The Veil, it sold more than 15,000 copies within the album's first week of release, debuting at numbers eighteen and nineteen on the Billboard Rock Songs and Heatseekers Songs charts, respectively., it was released on October 16, 2012. Punk Goes Acoustic Vol. 3 is the nineteenth compilation album in the Punk Goes... series created by Fearless Records and the third installment in the Punk Goes Acoustic series. This is the first album in the series since 2015 that features any tracks that are original the last album to have any originals was Punk Goes Christmas: Deluxe Edition which contained both original and covers of Christmas-themed songs done by bands. This is also first Punk Goes Acoustic album to be released by Fearless in over a decade the last being Punk Goes Acoustic 2 back in 2007. The album contains 12 unreleased acoustic versions of previously released original songs done by various bands such as Set It Off, Taking Back Sunday, Underoath, As It Is, and more. The album was announced via Fearless Records on June 28, 2019. The album was released on July 26, 2019.
