Pure Chess is a chess video game by British developer VooFoo Studios. [2]
Pure Chess was released for the PlayStation Vita and the PlayStation 3. The PS3 version of the game is only available through digital download via the PlayStation Store. The PS3 version of Pure Chess was released on April 11, 2012, in Europe [3] and on May 29, 2012, in North America. [4] A PlayStation 4 version was later released on April 15, 2014 in North America and April 16, 2014 in Europe. [5] A physical edition of this version was also published as a budget title by System 3 under their Play It label.
Pure Chess was announced for Wii U during an August 2013 Nintendo Direct for the PAL region. [6] The game's publisher Ripstone later confirmed the game for the Nintendo 3DS as well. [7] In addition, it was also confirmed that cross-platform play will be supported between both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions, as well as with players playing the mobile versions of the game, [8] and possibly even Sony's PlayStation consoles. [9]
On September 9, 2016, Pure Chess: Grandmaster Edition was made available for the Xbox One [10] and PC using Steam. [11]
Pure Chess was the 11th best-selling PlayStation Network game and the 4th best-selling PS Vita game in June 2012. [12]

The game's single-player mode received praise from critics, but its multi-player mode was found disappointing by reviewers. [15] [17] IGN 's Colin Moriarty wrote that the game's "single-player offerings challenge gamers with a variety of options that will please chess nuts, especially for its relatively low price, but added that "Pure Chess has completely unacceptable online functionality that's flagrantly clumsy and lazily executed." [15]
Mike Rose of Pocket Gamer gave the PS Vita version of Pure Chess 3.5 out 5 stars. Rose opined that "The single-player component of Pure Chess is solid, though there are peripheral niggles," noting issues with its touch controls and camera movement. Rose was critical of the game's multiplayer mode, listing several flaws, namely its asynchronous nature. [16]

Rayman Legends is a platform video game developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. It is the fifth main title in the Rayman series and the direct sequel to the 2011 game Rayman Origins. Young Justice: Legacy is an action-adventure video game developed by Freedom Factory Studios and published by Little Orbit. It was released in November 2013 for Nintendo 3DS, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The game is based on the Young Justice animated television series, and takes place in the five-year gap between seasons one and two, and was developed in collaboration with the writers of the series, Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti. Originally the game was planned to also be released on Nintendo DS, Wii, and Wii U, but the developers announced that these versions were cancelled due to quality issues and low interest from retailers.
Off-TV Play is a feature of Nintendo's eighth-generation video game console, the Wii U. Like all video game consoles, the Wii U uses a console and a controller to manipulate an image on a television screen. The Wii U's unique feature is that its controller, the Wii U GamePad, has its own built-in screen for displaying images. It can display an entirely different image, or duplicate the television screen into the Wii U GamePad. Off-TV Play is the term used for when an entire game is played strictly on the controller, without the use of a television. The GamePad also features two speakers that can be used for Off-TV Play. There is no standardized way to activate Off-TV Play and how it's implemented depends on the game.
Knytt Underground is a 2D adventure game in the exploration subgenre similar to Metroidvania games, with elements of arcade platformers, combining the mechanics of the developer's previous games, Knytt and Within a Deep Forest. It was developed by Swedish programmer Nicklas Nygren and released in late 2012, with the PlayStation platforms PS3 and Vita seeing the first launch. The game offers two playable characters, nonlinear gameplay, multiple endings, and a large number of side-quests and secrets.
One Piece: Unlimited World Red is an action-adventure video game based on the famous One Piece manga and anime. This is the thirty-sixth video game based on the series, and the fifth title in the Unlimited sub-series. It was released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on November 21, 2013, and released for additional platforms and in more regions the following year. On March 12, 2014, the game was confirmed to be releasing in North America, Europe, and Japan in 2014 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Wii U. The Wii U version does not have a physical retail release in North America and Australia. Whilst other versions were released by July 8, 2014, in North America, the PlayStation Vita version was released in the region on July 14, 2014, and its limited retail release was sold exclusively via GameStop stores.

Originally named Aban Hawkins & the 1000 Spikes, the game's objective is to escape a vast terrain and struggle to reach for victory without being impaled by spikes and many other disasters. Throughout the multiple travels, the game gets increasingly challenging, especially having to dodge falling stones and much more.
Chess Ultra is a chess video game developed and published by Ripstone for the PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in June 2017. A Switch port was released a few months later. It is the second chess game by Ripstone after Pure Chess (2012). Chess Ultra is the first in-house developed game by Ripstone.
