The Gandaki River, also known as the Narayani and Gandak, is one of the major rivers in Nepal and a left-bank tributary of the Ganges in India. Its total catchment area is 46,300 km2 (17,900 sq mi), most of it in Nepal. In the Nepal Himalayas, the Gandaki is notable for its deep canyon. The basin also contains three mountains over 8,000 m (26,000 ft), namely Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapurna Massif. Dhaulagiri is the highest point of the Gandaki basin. In it's upper reaches, the river is known as Kali Gandaki as it flows through the Mustang district and the famous Kali Gandaki Gorge in Nepal. When the river reaches the Terai plains of Nepal, it's referred to as the Narayani River. This name change typically occurs near the confluence with the Trishuli River at Devghat in Chitwan. Upon entering India, the river is known as the Gandak River.

The Magar language or Magar ḍhuṭ is a Sino-Tibetan language spoken mainly in Nepal, southern Bhutan, and in Darjeeling, Assam and Sikkim, India, by the Magar people. It is divided into two groups and further dialect divisions give distinct tribal identity. In Nepal 810,000 people speak the language. Despite Magars not having a state for its own country the Magar language is an additional official language in Gandaki Province, Nepal and the Indian state of Sikkim.

Bhirkot is a village development committee in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 5014 people living in 1146 individual households. It lies northwest of Baidi. It lies on a steep mountain top overlooking a deep valley in which the Kali River passes. The village contains a health camp.
Vyas (Byas), is a municipality of Tanahun District located in Gandaki Province in Nepal and incorporates the village Damauli, the district headquarters, for which the municipality is also often referred to as Damauli. The municipality was established by merging the former Village development committee Damauli with several of its neighbors, the most recent merger being the one with Pokhari Bhanjyang in 2014. It lies on the bank of Madi Khola.
Deurali, Tanahu is a village development committee in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2910 people living in 44 individual households.
Ghansikuwa is a famous tourist destination in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of Gandaki Province, Nepal. It is famous for a pond constructed by Ghansi, a local who worked as grass cutter. Bhanubhakta was inspired by the activity of the Ghanshi, so he has noticeably mentioned him in his creations. Today, you can see the statues of Bhanubhakta and Ghanshi, inside the park premises and the well preserved pond, left to the park. The cool air flowing from the nearby Chisaudi Khola and easy access to the place, has made the place an attractive travel destination during weekends.
Raipur (राइपुर) is part of Shuklagandaki Municipality in Tanahu District of Gandaki Province [Province No. 4], in central Nepal. The whole previous Raipur Village Development Committee is now included as the Ward No 11 of Shuklagandaki Municipality in March 2017. The head of the Raipur Ward No 11 is Shalikram Bhattarai. According to the Population Census of 1991, it had a population of 4581 people living in 850 individual households. Raipur is situated in about 18 km west from Dulegaunda Town & about 15 km from Putalibazar of Syangja District. From this village Of the top part called Raipurkot, we can have a panoramic view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Macchapuchre Range in the north, green hills, fertile land in the river banks, terraces and many others places with seasonal fruits and vegetables. The lifestyle of people living in Raipur is simple, and the majority of them are farmers. Most of the people from Raipur are migrated to Dulegaunda, Belchautara, Dhorfridi, Pokhara, Syangja, Chitwan, Kathmandu and other urban areas. About 90% of youths of Raipur are at Third Countries and Gulf for unskilled and low skilled employments.. Recently the village is connected with the national grid of electricity network. Not all the areas of Raipur has good drinking water facilities. People, in the hillside such as Bishauna, Chilaunekhark, Baaspani (Gaunpahal), Thumkidada, Simleshwara, Samtari, Bangalekhola have to spend most of their morning time in collecting drinking water from pond.
Rupakot is a village development committee in Tanahu District in Gandaki Province of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4765 people living in 937 individual households. The VDC has been merged with existing Bhanu village development committees(VDCs), Barbhanjyang village development committees (VDCs) Tanahunsur Village Development Committee, Purkot VDC, Mirlung VDC, Satiswara VDC, Risti VDC, Basantapur VDC and Chok Chisapani VDC on 19 September 2015 to form Bhanu Municipality.

Shuklagandaki is a municipality located in Tanahu District of Gandaki Province in the Western Development Region, Nepal. The municipality was formed on 18 May 2014. It was formed by merging three Village Development Committees: Dhorphirdi, Dulegaunda and Khairenitar. And further more Thaprek, Raipur and Phirphire VDC are merged on 5 March 2017.

He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of Nepali Congress for Gandaki Province after potential CM candidate Pradip Poudel lost in his constituency with less than 100 vote's margin. Darai people (Nepali:दरै) are an indigenous ethnic tribal community native to Nepal. Most of their population live in hills and inner terai of Nepal in the banks of Narayani river with the largest concentration in Tanahu, Chitwan, Gorkha and Nawalparasi districts. They are known as Daroe, Darhi, Daraie, Daras, Darad and Darai. According to census of 2021 their population is 18,695.
National Highway 25 (Dumre-Besishahar-Chame) or Bhanubhakta Acharya Highway is National Highway of Nepal, located in Gandaki Province. The total length of the highway is 108.41 kilometres (67.36 mi).
