Pyramid Natarajan is a former Indian actor and producer, who has appeared in character roles in Tamil cinema. He made his breakthrough as an actor playing a role in Mani Ratnam's Alaipayuthey (2000) portraying the role of Madhavan's father, before playing the antagonist in several films. [1] [2]

Career

Natarajan was born in a village called Valoothoor near, Papanasam, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu and studied in Shaukathul Islam Balya Muslim Sangam Higher Elementary School in his boyhood and moved to Madras as a teenager, hoping to make a breakthrough into films. He was able to briefly join K. Balachander's drama troupe, Ragini Recreations, and appear in productions before soon starting his own troupe and staging a play. Following a successful business proposal, Natarajan was able to take over as executive producer of Gemini Films and was able to learn the nuances of administration. [3]

He joined hands with K.Balachander to nurture Kavithalayaa Productions as a joint production company.

In 1997 Pyramid Entertainment Limited was promoted by Mr. V. Natarajan. Before promoting the company, V. Natarajan had produced number of films. He had been involved in 55 films in various capacities such as executive director, Executive Producer and Producer. He is an executive committee member of various Trade Bodies like Tamil Film Producers Council & South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the government body formed to deal with film industry and also an advisory committee member on Film Taxation. [4]

He is currently running a hotel. [5]

Nagesh (born Cheyur Krishnarao Nageshwaran; was an Indian actor, mostly remembered for his roles as a comedian in Tamil films during the 1960s. Nagesh was born in Dharapuram. He acted in over 1,000 films from 1958 to 2008, performing in a variety of roles as comedian, lead roles, supporting actor and antagonist. He has also acted in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films. Nagesh's style of comedy was largely inspired by Hollywood actor Jerry Lewis. Kadhal Virus is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romance film written, directed and produced by Kathir. The film featured Richard Rishi, Ajith's brother-in-law, and Sridevi Vijaykumar, Vijayakumar's youngest daughter, making their acting debuts in the film, with Abbas in a supporting role. A. R. Rahman composed the music for the film, while Arjun Jena was the cinematographer for the project. The film tells the story of a young director, trying to pursue his dream by overcoming all hurdles. After much delay, the film opened in December 2002. Unlike his previous two films Kadhal Desam (1996) and Kadhalar Dhinam (1999), Kathir's Kadhal Virus was panned by critics and fared poorly at the box office.

Andha Naal is a 1954 Indian Tamil-language mystery-thriller film, produced by A. V. Meiyappan and directed by S. Balachander. It is the first film noir in Tamil cinema, and the first Tamil film to be made without songs, dance, or stunt sequences. Set in the milieu of World War II, the story is about the killing of a radio engineer Rajan. The suspects are Rajan's wife Usha, the neighbour Chinnaiya Pillai, Rajan's brother Pattabi, Rajan's sister-in-law Hema (Menaka), and Rajan's mistress Ambujam. Each one's account of the incident points to a new suspect.

Server Sundaram is a 1964 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by Krishnan–Panju and produced by A. V. Meiyappan. The film stars Nagesh as the title character. Muthuraman and K. R. Vijaya play the other lead roles while Major Sundarrajan, S. N. Lakshmi and Manorama play supporting roles. It focuses on a hotel waiter who strives to reach greater heights after he becomes an actor to attain the love of his restaurateur's daughter.

Subramaniam Panchu Arunachalam, credited as Subbu Panchu or P. Ar. Subramaniam is an Indian actor and film producer. Son of noted writer-producer Panchu Arunachalam, Subbu first appeared as a child artist in the Malayalam film Daisy, before working in the production department of his father's P. A. Art Productions.
