The Race to Stop Suicide 200 presented by Place of Hope was an ARCA Menards Series East stock car race held annually at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida from 2014 to 2022. The race was always the season opener and took place in February on the same week or the weekend before the Daytona 500 at the nearby Daytona International Speedway.

History

The race was established in 2014 and held on the same weekend as the track's World Series of Asphalt race. [2]

The race was originally 150 laps and 72 miles long (from 2014 to 2017), then 175 laps and 84 miles long (from 2018 to 2021), and finally 200 laps and 96 miles long in the final edition.

TRICON Garage, formally known as David Gilliland Racing and Team DGR, is an American professional stock car racing team that competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the ARCA Menards Series, the ARCA Menards Series East, the ARCA Menards Series West, and the CARS Tour. The team was founded in early 2017 when racing team owners David Gilliland and Bo LeMastus came together to form a collaborative effort from their respective teams, David Gilliland Racing and Crosley Sports Group, known as DGR-Crosley. The 2019 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East was the 33rd season of the K&N Pro Series East, a regional stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR. It began with the New Smyrna 175 at New Smyrna Speedway on February 11 and concluded with the General Tire 125 at Dover International Speedway on October 4. General Tire took over the position as the official tire supplier of the series from Goodyear. Sam Mayer was crowned the series champion, becoming the youngest champion in series history, at 16 years, 3 months, 8 days, topping the previous record set by Todd Gilliland after he won the 2016 title. Tyler Ankrum entered the season as the defending drivers' champion, but he did not defend his championship because he moved up to the Truck Series full time in 2019.

Jett Noland is an American professional racing driver who last competed part-time for Niece Motorsports in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the Nos. 44 and 45 Chevrolet Silverados, and the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 50 Chevrolet SS. He has also competed in Stadium Super Trucks, super late model racing, and the Trans-Am Series.
