Ragala Venkat Rahul (born 16 March 1997) is an Indian weightlifter who won the gold medal in the men's 85 kg weight class at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Early life

He was born in Stuartpuram, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He trained at Sports School in Hyderabad. [1]

Career

At the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, he won the silver medal in the 77 kg category. This was India's first ever medal in weightlifting at the Youth Olympics. [2]

He won a gold medal in the men's 85 kg weight class at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. He lifted a total of 338 kg - 151 kg in snatch and 187 kg in clean and jerk. It was the fourth gold medal for India in weightlifting at the Games. [3]

Jeremy Lalrinnunga is an Indian weightlifter from Aizawl, Mizoram. He represented India in the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. He won the gold medal in the Boys' 62 kg category weightlifting with a lift of 274 kg. It was India's first gold medal in the Youth Olympic Games. Jeremy won silver medal in Asian weightlifting championship. At the 2019 World Weightlifting Championships, Lalrinnunga finished at 21st rank at the Men's 67 kg event. He won gold in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, in the 67 kg category, with a game record lift of 140 kg in snatch and 160 kg in clean and jerk.

Lovepreet Singh is an Indian weightlifter who competes in the men's 109 kg weight category. He won the silver medal at the 2021 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships and bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. In 2017, he won bronze at the Asian Youth Championships and gold at the Junior Commonwealth Championships in the 105 kg category. He works for the Indian Navy.
