History

Rainstorm Entertainment was confirmed in November 2003 to produce and finance the documentary film Fuck , with production scheduled to begin in January 2004. [2] The film was completed in 2005 by film director Steve Anderson's film company Mudflap Films; it was executive produced by Rainstorm Entertainment co-founders Steven Kaplan and Gregg Daniel, [3] along with Bruce Leiserowitz, Jory Weitz and Richard Ardi. [4]

The film argues that the word is an integral part of societal discussions about freedom of speech and censorship. Scholars and celebrities analyze perceptions of the word from differing perspectives. Inherent Vice is a 2014 American period neo-noir crime film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Thomas Pynchon. The cast includes Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Katherine Waterston, Eric Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio del Toro, Jena Malone, Joanna Newsom, Jeannie Berlin, Maya Rudolph, Michael K. Williams and Martin Short. The film follows Larry "Doc" Sportello, a well-intentioned but inept stoner, hippie, and private investigator in 1970, who is embroiled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld while investigating three cases interrelated by the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend and her new wealthy boyfriend.

Steve Anderson (director)

Steve Anderson is an American film director, writer, and producer. After graduating with an undergraduate degree from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York, he gained experience as a television cameraman. He made documentary films for PBS, and won a Peabody Award for Safe Haven in 1987. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1989 and worked for CNN.

J. Todd Harris is an American film producer. Harris is the founder and President of the production studio Branded Pictures Entertainment. Harris has been a member of the Motion Picture Academy since 1999 and is a founding board member of the Napa Valley Film Festival.

The Toronto International Film Festival Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film is an annual film award, presented by the Toronto International Film Festival to a film judged to be the best Canadian feature film made by a first-time director.
