Rake It In: The Greatestest Hits is a greatest hits album by the punk rock supergroup Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. It was released on April 7, 2017, on Fat Wreck Chords. [1] The album has songs from throughout their career, from their first release, the "Denver" 7" in 1995, to their last, Are We Not Men? We Are Diva! in 2014. The track selection was based on the live set list the band had developed over the course of its career. [2] [3]

In March 2017, the band released a track from the album, "City of New Orleans", which had previously only been available on vinyl. [4]

Will Hodge, writing in Paste , said that the album was a perfect distillation of the band's career, and demonstrated how adept they were at keeping their music sounding fresh despite being a cover band. [8] Philip Fairbanks of New Noise Magazine was similarly positive, describing the album as "frenetic" and "irresistibly satisfying". [7] Julie River of PunkNews.org found that the album was not a good reflection of the band's career, and particularly decried the exclusion of Rocket Man, which had previously appeared on the album Have a Ball . [9] Maximum Rocknroll published a pair of dueling reviews: the first, by Ramsey Kanaan, praised the record out of a general appreciation of the band's work, [5] while reviewer Kenny Kaos said he was "not really sure what the point is" of the compilation album or of the band's existence in general. Swingin' Utters is a Californian punk rock band that formed in the late 1980s. After U.S. and European tours supporting the release of 2003's "Dead Flowers, Bottles, Bluegrass and Bones", some band members concentrated on raising their new families. From 2003-2010, the band played frequently, though mostly limited to the west coast of the United States and Canada, taking a break from any longer, comprehensive touring or recordings. During this time, they released the "Live in a Dive" double live album on Fat Wreck Chords (2004), and "Hatest Grits", a b-sides and rarities compilation (2008). After a seven-year gap in the release of any new, original recordings, the band released the "Brand New Lungs" 3-song 7-inch ep in 2010, followed by the "Here, Under Protest" LP (2011), and have since released four more records, and have resumed touring internationally.

The Dwarves Must Die 2004 studio album by Dwarves

The Dwarves Must Die is the 2004 release by the American punk band Dwarves. It is the band's first release on the Sympathy for the Record Industry label. There are several cameos, including Dexter Holland from The Offspring, Nash Kato from Urge Overkill, desert rock icon Nick Oliveri, Josh Freese from The Vandals, Spike Slawson from Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, gangster rapper San Quinn, DJ Marz, and even the original Space Ghost himself, Gary Owens. The rather freeform departure from the standard thrash/punk/noise sound is obvious in this release, slightly more so than in previous Dwarves productions, perhaps because they have been producing music for almost 20 years; however the original sound of the Dwarves shows clearly in several tracks.
