He is a member and served as the 8th President of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC),a component party of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition,from December 2010 to June 2013.
Zulhasnan bin Rafique is a Malaysian politician and the former Minister of Federal Territories. He is a former Member of Parliament of Malaysia for Wangsa Maju and Setiawangsa constituencies in Kuala Lumpur and a supreme council member in the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO),the largest component party in the previously ruling coalition Barisan Nasional (BN).
Abdul Rahman bin Abbas is a Malaysian politician who served as the 7th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang from 1 May 2001 to 30 April 2021. He is a former politician from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). Abdul Rahman was appointed to the governorship by the King in May 2001 and was reappointed six times,in 2005,2009,2011,2013,2015,and 2017.
Senator Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Minister of Home Affairs in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim,Senator since December 2022. He served as the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs in the Unity Government administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from July 2018 to the collapse of the PH administration in February 2020,Member of Parliament (MP) for Kulim-Bandar Baharu from May 2018 to November 2022 and for Machang from March 2008 to May 2013 as well as Member of the Penang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pantai Jerejak from May 2018 to August 2023 and MLA of Kedah for Lunas from November 2000 to March 2004. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of the PH coalition. He has also served as the Secretary-General of PKR from January 2010 to his resignation in October 2014 and again since November 2016 as well as the Secretary-General of PH since March 2020.
Mujahid Yusof Rawa,is a Malaysian politician who has served as Senator since May 2023. He served as the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Religious Affairs in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from July 2018 to the collapse of the PH administration in February 2020 as well as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Parit Buntar from March 2008 to November 2022. He is a member of the National Trust Party (AMANAH),a component party of the PH coalition and was a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS),a former component party of the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalition. He has also served as the State Chairman of PH of Perak since June 2021.
Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa,is a Malay supremacist non-governmental organisation (NGO) that was formed by Ibrahim Ali in the aftermath of the 2008 general election (GE12). This conservative,extreme-right,ethnic Malay organisation is led by its president Ibrahim Ali to influence the unity of Malaysian by refusing to accept any decoration of other ethnic group except Malay decoration. The group is reported to have a membership of 700,000.
The 2014 United Nations Security Council election was held on 16 October 2014 during the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly,held at United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The elections were for five non-permanent seats on the UN Security Council for two-year mandates commencing on 1 January 2015. United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 was adopted on 23 December 2016. It concerns the Israeli settlements in "Palestinian territories occupied since 1967,including East Jerusalem". The resolution passed in a 14–0 vote by members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Four members with United Nations Security Council veto power voted for the resolution,while the United States abstained.

She assumed office in January 2018,becoming the first Asian woman to serve as Executive Director of UN-Habitat. On 20 January 2022,she was re-elected by the UN General Assembly for a two-year term that ends on 19 January 2024.
