The Distinguished Order of Meritorious Service (Malay : Darjah Yang Mulia Jasa Negara) is a Malaysian federal award presented for meritorious service to the country.
The order has one rank: Commander.
Commander of the Order of Meritorious Service (P.J.N.) (Malay : Panglima Jasa Negara).
The award recipient receives the title Datuk and his wife Datin.
This rank is limited to 200 living recipients at any time, excepting foreign citizens who are conferred honorary awards.
The Commanders receives the title Datuk and his wife Datin.
The Honorary Commanders also receives the title Datuk and his wife Datin.
Royal Military College is an all-boys military school established to train young Malaysians for service in the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF). It is sometimes dubbed "the Malaya's Sandhurst". On 9 December 1966, in a ceremony held at the college, HM Ismail Nasiruddin of Terengganu, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, conferred the "Royal" title to the FMC. This was a great honour for the college as RMC the only educational institution in the history of this nation has the "Royal" title bestowed upon it. Hence since 1966, the former Federation Military College came to be known as the Royal Military College.

The Order of the Defender of State is the sole order of chivalry of the state of Penang which was constituted in 1967 by then Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Dato' Seri Utama Raja Uda Raja Muhammad to recognize eminent contributions of individuals towards Penang and the nation. The order was initially constituted in three grades of Knight Grand Commander, Companion, and Member. Later, other grades were added to the order. Currently, the order is conferred in six grades.
