The Most Distinguished Royal Family Order of Terengganu (Bahasa Melayu: Darjah Kerabat Diraja Terengganu Yang Amat Mulia)[ citation needed ] is an honorific order of the Sultanate of Terengganu, who is the constitutional head of Terengganu state in Malaysia.

It was founded by Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu on 6 July 2000 as a family order for members of the Terengganu and other Royal houses.[ citation needed ]

Terengganu State of Malaysia

Terengganu, formerly spelled Trengganu or Tringganu, is a sultanate and constitutive state of federal Malaysia. The state is also known by its Arabic honorific, Dāru l-Īmān. Immediately prior to his death, he was the second longest-reigning living monarch in the world after Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

Vajiralongkorn King of Thailand

Vajiralongkorn is the King of Thailand. He is the only son of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. In 1972, at the age of 20, he was made crown prince by his father. After his father's death on 13 October 2016, he was expected to ascend to the throne of Thailand but asked for time to mourn before taking the throne. He accepted the throne on the night of 1 December 2016. His coronation took place from 4–6 May 2019. The Thai government retroactively declared his reign to have begun on 13 October 2016, upon his father's death. As the tenth monarch of the Chakri dynasty, he is also styled as Rama X. Aged 64 at that time, Vajiralongkorn became the oldest Thai monarch to ascend to the throne.

Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu 18th Sultan of Terengganu, Malaysia

Al-Wathiqu Billah Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah is the 18th and current Sultan of Terengganu. He served as the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the constitutional monarch of Malaysia, from 2006 to 2011. He is Malay by ethnicity and an adherent of Sunni Islam.

Sultan Zainal Abidin III Muadzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Ahmad Muadzam Shah II,, was Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan Besar of the state of Terengganu from 1881 to 1918. Succeeding on the death of his father Sultan Ahmad, under his reign Terengganu became a British protectorate by the Anglo-Siamese Treaty of 1909. In 1911, Sultan Zainal Abidin III issued Terengganu's first constitution. He died in Kuala Terengganu on 26 November 1918, aged 52, after a nearly 37 year reign and was buried in the Zainal Abidin mosque. He was succeeded by his son, Muhammad Shah II.
