The Most Esteemed Royal Family Order of Johor (Bahasa Melayu: Darjah Kerabat Johor Yang Amat Dihormati), [1] [2] is a chivalrous order awarded by the Sultan of Johor.

History

It was first instituted by Sultan Abu Bakar of Johor on 31 July 1886. [1]

Is awarded to members of the Royal Family of Johor and the other Royal Rulers and Consorts or other members to other Royal Families that have done immensely to the servititude to the Sultan and the Family.

It is awarded as a set of a nine rayed breast star, a collar with a lesser star, a yellow silk sash, worn from the right shoulder to the left waist and a lesser star for the sash.

It is awarded to junior members of the Royal Families like the Pengirans, Tunkus, Tengkus, Rajas and Syeds.

It is awarded as a set of a seven rayed breast star with a neck ribbon with a lesser star suspended on it.

Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar is the seventeenth and current Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia. He is also the fifth Sultan of modern Johor since ascending to the throne following the death of his father, Sultan Iskandar, in 2010.

Tunku Abdul Rahman ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Ismail was the younger son of Sultan Ismail of Johor as well as the younger brother of Sultan Iskandar of Johor. Tunku Abdul Rahman held the post of Tunku Mahkota for twenty years until shortly before his father's death in 1981. His termination of his post generated considerable controversy for a brief period of time.

Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah is the Sultan of Pahang since the abdication of his father in 2019. He was the sixteenth Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia, from 2019 to 2024, being sworn in just a few weeks after ascending to the throne as Sultan of Pahang.

Raja Zarith Sofiah binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah is the Queen of Malaysia and the Permaisuri of Johor as a wife of Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar. She was born as a member of the Perak royal family. While still attending Somerville College, Oxford, she married the heir to the throne of Johor. Now a mother of six, she participates in the work of non-governmental organisations and universities, and writes a periodical column for a newspaper.

Tunku Annuar ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah was a member of the Kedah royal family and the Chairman of the Regency Council of the Malaysian state of Kedah from December 2011 until his death in May 2014. He was the son of Sultan Badlishah and the half-brother of Sultan Abdul Halim.

The Most Distinguished Family Order of Terengganu is an honorific order of the Sultanate of Terengganu.

The Most Illustrious Order of the Crown of Selangor is an order awarded by Sultan of Selangor as a reward for general services to the sultan and state of Selangor. It was founded in 1961. The order is awarded to the relatives of the Sultan of Selangor as well as high-ranking individuals who have contributed excellence to the Sultan of Selangor and the Sultan's Government. The Sultan also has the right to bestow this Degree of Excellence to anyone whom he deems fit and appropriate to receive it.

Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj is the Tengku Ampuan of the state of Pahang as the first wife of Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. Previously, she was the 16th Raja Permaisuri Agong during her husband's reign as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong from 2019 to 2024. She is also the younger sister of the 17th and current Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim.

The Selangor royal family consists of the family members of the sultan of Selangor. It currently consists of Sharafuddin of Selangor and his close relations.

Sultanah Maliha binti Almarhum Tengku Ariff is the current Sultanah of Malaysian State of Kedah, replacing her sister-in-law, Sultanah Haminah. The Most Esteemed Family Order of the Crown of Indra of Pahang is an honorific order of the Sultanate of Pahang.

Currently, he is fourth in the line of succession to the throne of Johor after his elder brother, the Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Idris and nephews, Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim and Tunku Abu Bakar Ibrahim.
