Rapolas Ivanauskas (born February 15, 1998) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Northwestern Wildcats, the Colgate Raiders, and the Cincinnati Bearcats. [1]

College career

As a sophomore at Colgate, Ivanauskas averaged 15.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game and made 43 3-pointers. [2] He was named the Patriot League Player of the Year for the 2018–19 season. [3] As a junior, Ivanauskas was named to the Second Team All-Patriot League. [4] Ivanauskas averaged 13.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for the Colgate Raiders. Following the season, he decided to transfer to Cincinnati for his final season of eligibility. [5] In December 2020, Ivanauskas opted out of playing the remainder of the 2020–21 season at Cincinnati. He had played in seven games and recorded a team-high 31 defensive rebounds during that span. [6]

Professional career

On January 25, 2021, he announced that he had signed with Rytas Vilnius, a professional club in his home country of Lithuania. [6] Ivanauskas averaged 3.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. On August 18, 2021, he signed with BC CBet Prienai. [7]

On August 5, 2022, he signed with ERA Nymburk in the Czech Republic. [8]

On June 9, 2023, Ivanauskas signed with Fukushima Firebonds of the Japanese B.League. [9]

BC Prienai was a Lithuanian professional basketball club based in Prienai. They played domestically in the Lithuanian Basketball League every year since winning the promotion in 2009. During the 2008–09 season, then called Rūdupis, they became the champion of the NKL and won the challenge match for a slot in the LKL. In their debut LKL season Rūdupis took seventh place, while next two seasons brought BC Prienai two bronze LKL medals. BC Prienai played in EuroCup 2011–12 with moderate success; the team won 3 games out of 6, but nonetheless failed to qualify for the next stage. The 2020–21 Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team represented the University of Cincinnati in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bearcats were led by second-year head-coach John Brannen. The team played their home games at Fifth Third Arena as members of the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season 12–11, 8–6 in AAC play to finish in fifth place. They defeated SMU and Wichita State in the AAC tournament before losing to Houston in the championship game.
