Kang Ji-young, known mononymously as Jiyoung or under the stage name JY, is a South Korean singer and actress. At age 14, she rose to fame as a member of the South Korean girl group Kara, joining the group in 2008. Dubbed as "Hallyu Queens", Kara achieved mainstream success across Asia, particularly in Japan where they earned ten top-five singles on the Oricon Singles Chart, and became the first female South Korean act to perform at the Tokyo Dome. Kang left Kara in April 2014, but rejoined for the group's 15th anniversary commemorative album Move Again (2022), and subsequent concert tour (2024).

Kill This Love is the second Korean extended play by South Korean girl group Blackpink. It was released on April 5, 2019, by YG Entertainment and was distributed through YG Plus and Interscope Records. It was their first Korean material since the release of Square Up in June 2018, and their first release with Interscope Records. The title track was released as the lead single; it peaked at number two in South Korea and became the first top 50 hit by a female K-pop act in the United States and the United Kingdom. The track "Don't Know What to Do" was later promoted on Korean music programs.

Lee Tae-yong, known mononymously as Taeyong, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and dancer. He is a member and leader of South Korean boy band NCT under SM Entertainment, having debuted in the group's first sub-unit, NCT U, in 2016 and becoming the leader of its second sub-unit, NCT 127, later that year. In 2019, he debuted as a member of the South Korean supergroup SuperM, a joint project under SM Entertainment and Capitol Records. As a songwriter, Taeyong has participated in writing over 40 songs in four languages, released mostly by NCT's various units and himself as a soloist. He made his official solo debut in June 2023 with his EP Shalala, making him the first soloist from NCT.

Maxident is the seventh Korean-language extended play and eleventh overall by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on October 7, 2022, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records, seven months after the release of their preceding EP, Oddinary (2022). A portmanteau of "max" or "maximum" and "incident" or "accident", the EP saw the band take on a "love" concept for the first time. The album was written and produced primarily by 3Racha, alongside the group's other members and producers Raphael, Daviid, Yosia, Tak, 1Take, Kim Park Chella, Hong Ji-sang, Earattack, Chan's, and Darm. It consists of eight tracks, including the lead single "Case 143" and the Korean version of "Circus", originally from the band's Japanese EP of the same name.

Rock-Star is the eighth Korean-language extended play by South Korean boy band Stray Kids, released on November 10, 2023, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records, five months after their third studio album 5-Star (2023). Based on Korean four-character idiom of emotions huiroaerak, 3Racha, an in-house production team of the group, worked on the EP with Versachoi, Cubeatz, Willie Weeks, Millionboy, Nickko Young, and Jun2.

With You-th is the thirteenth extended play by South Korean girl group Twice. It was released on February 23, 2024, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. The EP consists of six tracks, including the group's third original English-language single "I Got You" and the lead single "One Spark".

Joy Ride is the debut Japanese-language EP by South Korean singer and songwriter Kang Daniel. It was released on October 5, 2022 by Warner Music Japan. Joy Ride contains four tracks, including the lead single of the same name, "TPIR" featuring Japanese singer Miyavi, and four songs from Kang's previous Korean album The Story re-recorded in Japanese.
