Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is an upcoming American comedy horror film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and written by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. It is the sequel to Ready or Not (2019), with Samara Weaving reprising her role as Grace MacCaullay. It also stars Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, David Cronenberg, Elijah Wood, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, and Nadeem Umar-Khitab.

Premise

Grace MacCaullay, the sole survivor of a brutal "game" that resulted in the deaths of her husband and in-laws, learns that her victory comes with a price: now, the wealthiest and most influential families on Earth have to kill her in a new game - or risk losing their power and fortunes. Grace refuses to participate at first but is left with no choice when she learns that her younger sister, Faith, has also been marked for death and must protect her at all costs.

Production

At an October 12, 2024, special screening of Ready or Not (2019), Searchlight Pictures announced that it was developing a sequel with Radio Silence Productions. Samara Weaving would reprise her role from the original film. Also returning were writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy and the original producing team. [2] Kathryn Newton joined the cast in March 2025. [3] Principal photography began in Toronto on April 21, 2025, while Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, Kevin Durand, David Cronenberg, Shawn Hatosy, and Néstor Carbonell joined the cast. Meanwhile, the title was revealed as Ready or Not: Here I Come. [4] Filming had concluded by June 2, 2025, and the film was retitled Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.
